NW trainer Glenn Stevenson will give his smart 4yo Blameitontheboogie his first look at the Hobart track when he lines up in the Kevin Sharkie class 4 over 1000m on Tuesday.

Blameitontheboogie has raced twice for a first-up win in Devonport in a maiden back in June and then resumed in class 1 company in Launceston on 24 October, scoring a stylish win.

"Class 4 is probably not the right race for him, but I think the trip away, get down to Hobart, some horses don't handle that track, so we will give him a look at it in case you get to that point, if you are going good, you've had a look at it," Stevenson said.

"If he can go well at Hobart, then we will start. We will make decisions after that; it will be a learning curve. He's still maturing as a horse.

"I've taken some nice horses to Hobart. I'm Wesley is a prime example. Some don't handle it; they just don't like it, but you have to take them there to find out."

"His work has been really good; he will be hard to beat on Tuesday."

Blameitontheboogie has drawn barrier five in a field of seven. Codi Jordan, who has ridden the horse to both his wins, again has the mount.

John Keys, who is currently campaigning with Cartoon Graveyard in Victoria, will be well represented at the meeting. He is hoping to pick up where he left off in Launceston on Friday night, where his consistent galloper Sky Land scored the fifth win of her career.

"The team is going great. I think Verbano will run a really good race (in Hobart) and just forget Restricted Access went around the other day, I think he will bounce back," Scott Brunton, representing the Keys stable, said.

Verbano will tackle the 1400m BM68, while Restricted Access is contesting the 1200m BM60. Apprentice Chloe Wells, back from a riding stint in Queensland, will ride both.

Keys will have Cartoon Graveyard in the Chester Manifold Stakes at Flemington on Thursday.

John Blacker is again well represented; he's tipping with winkers on for the first time that Celestial Glow will be hard to beat in the opening race, a 1000m maiden.

It's a neat compact program coinciding with the Melbourne Cup meeting from Flemington. The first race is scheduled for 11:02, and the meeting will be done and dusted prior to the Cup, with the final event at 14:45.

Matt Reid will be trackside with all the action on Tasracing Live.
