Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Scone, Murwillumbah, Townsville, Port Augusta, Warrnambool, Cranbourne, Hobart and Kalgoorlie.

SCONE: RACE 1 @ 12:50 PM

HOMELAND (3) gets the blinkers on after two starts and he hasn't been far away in both to date. Excuses on debut then battled last time. Draws well for the first time and can lift sharply. NAFTALI (8) made a handy debut in a race that's already produced a subsequent winner. Made good ground and likely to be competitive in this. TARRANT COUNTY (4) is an interesting first starter who has trialled okay leading into this. Soft draw and could be in the finish. TIANNAH (7) and HIT SONG (2) are next best.
SELECTIONS: Homeland to win.

MURWILLUMBAH: RACE 5 @ 3:01 PM

DUSAN (3) returned to form when he gave them a galloping lesson scoring by 2.75 lens over 1010m at this track on June 10. The 3kg claim helps and expected to go close again. Saves his best for this track and trip. GOLDEN DUBAI (5) had mixed luck this time in and will appreciate the firmer track. Drifted back early and failed to get into the contest when eighth over 1012m at Coffs Harbour on June 14. Backs-up quickly and gets his chance from the low gate. OSTRACISED (1) best run in four starts this time in when he powered late to finish third over 1010m at this track on June 10. Can go close again with the claim. ANOTHER BALCONYBOY (6) had no luck from the wide gates of late and will appreciate the inside draw today. Backs-up quickly and best form can see him take a hand in the finish.
SELECTIONS: Dusan to win.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 1 @ 12:19 PM

The babies kick us off. DANCE FOR ME RANDY (1) has started his career in fine fashion with four wins and three placings from just eight starts and is racing with a lot of confidence. Wiggins is two from two in the irons and should give this a mighty shake. BETTER SHOW (3) was a touch disappointing last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Strips fitter third-up and looms as the main danger. MARCH MADNESS (7) wasn't too far off them when resuming and will have come on now with that run under the belt. In the mix from the inside alley. DALT JAZ (4) and SMART MISSION (2) round out the selections in a race with only a couple of winning chances.
SELECTIONS: Dance For Me Randy to win again.

PORT AUGUSTA: RACE 2 @ 1:03 PM

TENTERK (1) has just missed in both runs back. Strips fitter third-up as he steps out in trip. Drawn to advantage and is sure to take plenty of stopping. Ready to get off the mark. TOUGH CRITIC (2) is knocking on the door. Did a good job to run into the frame here last start. Cherry-ripe now and is among the key chances. ME NAME'S HARRY (3) gave backers a bold sight here last start and kept battling in the lane to hold down a minor placing. Drawn to advantage from the inside pillar and could prove tough to reel in with similar tactics applied. OK GERRY (11) was well below her best here last start but had been racing much better prior. Tricky gate to overcome but warrants safekeeping.
SELECTIONS: Backing Tenterk to win.

WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 4 @ 1:55 PM

LEADERBOARD (2) is a former Kiwi who brings strong hurdles form. He's a listed winner on the flat and has had a soft steeples trial since last seen. Peaks and will take beating. HUNTLY CASTLE (5) won a Maiden hurdle three back by a space beating the above home. Plainer since then but brings a tidy recent steeple trial and can go on a lot better. CUSTOM OF THE SEA (3) is in the premier barn and has trialled twice since last seen. He's been disappointing despite positive market support. Might be the one to surprise. THAT'S INCRANIBULL (7) is also in good hands and can't be ruled out. TOLEMAC (1) is also worth consideration.
SELECTIONS: Backing Leaderboard.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 4 @ 2:10 PM

DELIVERING (1) resumes here with the right credentials. He's placed in 4/6 starts to date, the debut effort coming behind subsequent Group 3 winner Brave Mead. He's also run second to G1 winner Autumn Angel and kicks off here in a much easier race. VENDEMMIA (6) resumes having been in the market on debut at Sandown Lakeside, just fair behind the smart Raikoke there. Open to plenty of improvement and can figure. SUPPOSE I DO (5) has placed in all four runs this time in and looks a solid each-way hope again. WAITING FOR TIME (14) is a 2yo gelding by Alabama Express on debut who can run well.
SELECTIONS: Delivering to win.

HOBART: RACE 7 @ 2:22 PM

CHARLIE BUCKET (5) has won 4/7 and resumed here heavily bet narrowly beaten over this distance. 2/2 second-up and a senior hoop goes aboard. He can bounce back. Stakes-placed KING ISLAND (3) resumes and easily won a recent Longford trial. Maps for the run of the race and has a handy 3kg claim in easier. Looks ready to go. SIR SIMON (2) was beaten a whisker this grade second-up and that reads well. Is proven third-up and the 4kg claim keeps the veteran's weight manageable. Can't be ruled out. GEE GEE MISS QUITA (6) placed in the same contest and was an impressive winner prior in a 68. Pires goes on and the rails gate should advantage.
SELECTIONS: Backing Charlie Bucket.

KALGOORLIE: RACE 7 @ 4:15 PM

DEBONNAIRE (1) won by 0.9L here last time out over 1200m and rises up to this trip once more. Both times he's been to this distance have been in tougher races and he looks well placed third-up into the campaign where he is a winner previously. Draws ideally and can bring up back-to-back wins. LACIE ACE (8) got over the top to win by 0.4L at this track last start, winning by 0.4L in Maiden grade. The wide draw is no issue as she'll get back anyway, and the rise in trip will be welcomed. Watch for her running over the top of them late. SHE'S A MACHINE (12) disappointed last start over 1760m after some strong efforts over the mile prior. She's right back in trip on this occasion, but she has performed well here earlier this campaign. Nicely drawn and won't be far away. MILITARY ACTION (5) is ticking along nicely this time in and can put his best foot forward. BRAZEN EMPRESS (7) can be in the finish if she can build on what she's done so far this campaign.
SELECTIONS: Debonnaire gets the nod in the last.
