Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 15.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Bathurst, Coffs Harbour, Seymour, Sunshine Coast, Halidon, Northam, Devonport and Alice Springs.
BATHURST: RACE 6 @ 4:00 PM
EXOTIC DANCER (11) Sydney-trained filly who won on debut two back, before bumping into the handy Little Baia over 1400m at Kembla Grange in BM64 grade at latest. Will find this more to her liking and should prove too good for these. BIANCO NERO (5) another Sydney-trained mare resuming with an okay fresh record. Blinkers go on for the first time and has the one trial in readiness for this easier assignment. Keep safe. SHAQUILA (3) racing in career best form this prep and back in trip when fifth over 1100m at Wellington on September 2. Out to his preferred trip and has genuine top three prospects. SENALDA (10) up in grade on the firmer surface when a disappointing eighth over 1100m at Scone on August 30. Can run into the minor money.

COFFS HARBOUR: RACE 6 @ 4:25 PM
MY MATE COBBER (2) is well placed here after a string of solid efforts at Newcastle of late. Just failed as favourite there at a mile last time and while back in trip has a big chance to break through. REEL TORQUE (5) is lightly raced and comes up in class after a runaway maiden win here. Step up in trip looks ideal and he could go on with it. TOY STORY (3) is close to a win after placings at his past two and bumped into a handy one last time out. Hard to leave out with the claims. ATOMIC FORTY SEVEN (6) and TALMA I LOVE HER (8) are among the chances.

SEYMOUR: RACE 5 @ 3:50 PM
Competitive. SOMETHING FORJO (10) was spelled off her Maiden win and then did a good job to place on the Pakenham synthetic first-up. Fitter and gives every indication the mile will suit. Jumps from the rail and Craig Williams is a key jockey booking. A decent each-way chance. HEAVENLY EAGLE (7) brings decent city form and just missed two-back at this level. Maps for the run of the race and can go one better. GOVERNOR KING (3) raced a short-priced favourite in Adelaide and had a slower-than-expected recovery. He's won this grade at Sale prior by 7.5L. Ben Allen is reunited and back to the mile suits following a freshen. Likes give in the track. ULTIMATE KISS (1) disappointed last time out but worth including on best form.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:34 PM
DARK CHILL (4) has a handy record here with a win and a placing from just two starts and will be high on confidence following thaty last-start victory. Gets Orman on from the favourable draw and should be right there when the whips are cracking. AIDEN (2) has placed two from two over this course and distance and has been given a little freshen-up coming into this. Nicely placed to feature in the outcome. SMART AS SMART (7) got the job done at the latest effort and is drawn to get a cosy run in transit from gate one. Top-three commodity. HELL FOLLOWS (11) rounds out the selections.

HALIDON: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM
SWITCH HIT (8) strikes a much easier assignment after some solid performance in town. Gets in well at the weights with the 2kg claimer engaged and is expected to prove very tough to hold out. AMBER NOOK (10) was only fair when resuming at Gawler back in July. Has been freshened since with a trial in between and drops back to a more suitable trip. Can improve sharply. MR JONES (4) finds the maiden win elusive but is knocking on the door. Has a tricky draw to overcome but is one of the key chances. MY CRACKLING (5) is another that will find this easier after finishing midfield in town last start. Will go back from the draw and be saved for the final shot at them.

NORTHAM: RACE 4 @ 5:10 PM
FULL OF MERIT (2) raced in strong company last campaign and wasn't disgraced at all. She's trialled impressively coming into this and Pike hops in the saddle from a beautiful draw. She should get the run of the race and if she can pick up where she left off, she'll be too good for these. MAGNACHINE (4) just missed in a CL3 at Belmont 11 days ago and steps out slightly in trip again. She's run around some smart horses of late and her ratings stack up nicely in this field. Ticking along nicely without winning, but today may be her day. MUDDY WATERS (3) was a good winner last start in a strong race at Belmont, despite jumping a 25-1 chance. This looks to set up similarly for Parnham and with further improvement expected, he'll go close to winning. IMA WILD GIRL (7) can put herself on the speed and be in this race for a very long way.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Full Of Merit.
DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 5 @ 2:25 PM
WILD NIGHTS (10) has been narrowly beaten x2 on the turf and races on the synthetic for the first time. Gets in light with the 2kg claim and is worth another chance. GEE GEES MOONLITE (4) is in good hands and will be sharper second-up. Needs to find a bit more but that's possible and Newitt will give her every chance from an inside barrier. ONE STAR DREAM (14) resumes and is a hope fresh-up. GEEGEES ROYAL DUKE (11) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start running eighth at Launceston. Should be further improved and rates among the chances.
SELECTIONS: Backing Wild Nights.
ALICE SPRINGS: RACE 3 @ 4:10 PM
GARRUCHA (1) won 3 of his last 4 starts on this track before having a spell and has not missed a cheque in 3 starts fresh up in the past. He meets the right sort of field and is sure to be competitive. Can win. FAMILY TIES (7) has been holding his form well over the winter months and was only beaten by a nose here last week. He is down a kilo in weight and with the advantage of the pole position, he can go one better. UPSIDE (5) was last seen racing in NSW earlier in the year and has since joined the local stable of Ray Viney. He usually takes a run to get ready but all of his 8 career wins have come at this trip. A market watch is advised. LUNAR SOLAR (2) was a last-start winner at Naracoorte 16 days ago and will find this no harder in her first run for local trainer Lisa Whittle. A 2kg claim will make her hard to beat again.
