Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 26.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Goulburn, Geelong, Ipswich and Northam.
HAWKESBURY: RACE 6 @ 4:20 PM
CASSIEL (4) well bred Harry Angel gelding resuming. Solid debut win before failing to go on with it last time in. Fitted with the two good trials and maps to get his chance. Hard to stop. LADY SHENANIGANS (6) collared late at Canterbury two runs back then trapped off the track when a wilting 13th over 1200m at Rosehill in Midway BM72 class on September 14. Gets in light again with the claim and trained locally. Should prove tough to beat. ADMITTED (8) lightly raced Brazen Beau gelding who resumes from an 11-month spell. Came to the end of his prep when a disappointing seventh as fav over 1000m at Flemington in the G3 Maribyrnong Plt on November 7. Primed for this with the two trials and market moves must be closely monitored. LORD BOB (5) holding his form well with the big weights and maps to get the right run today. Sam Clipperton rides and he can add value to the exotics.
SELECTIONS: Cassiel to win.

GOULBURN: RACE 6 @ 4:40 PM
Waller-trained DUVANA (6) is Group 2 placed and resumed with a solid effort at Randwick-Kensington. He's thrown in under the race conditions and will relish the step-up to the mile. Gets Penza and fitter the colt should have them well-covered. NOVEMBER AIR (13) is an improver from the Neasham-Archibald yard. Went close at Hawkesbury over 1300m and 4-winners have come out of that. She's been kept of the fresh side and Collett is reunited. PLACID PEARL (14) and SWITZ (11) are also Sydney-trained and deserve consideration. The former just missed here on debut over 1400m and will carry a feather with the 4kg claim on a bog track.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Duvana.
GEELONG: RACE 5 @ 3:30 PM
ILLATIVE (6) resumes. She's always promised plenty of ability having started $7 in a strong 3yo race at Caulfield before a spell. She's won a recent trial at Cranbourne and looks very well placed in a BM64 fresh. CHINQUI (5) is a progressive type who won his maiden easily two back at Moe before just being overrun late at Mornington. Can measure up. MERE MORSEL (2) won two back here at BM58 level before an even effort in a messy finish last time. In with an each-way mix. KEANE ENUFF (3) is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Illative to win.
IPSWICH: RACE 5 @ 3:12 PM
Vandyke-trained LUTON HOO (6) was scratched at Doomben Wednesday from a winnable race. The mare was quickly back on track leading and winning a 58 at the Sunshine Coast and Callow rides replacing the 3kg apprentice. She will run along and should have them covered. NEW JOY (10) has been narrowly beaten at Toowoomba at her last three starts. Jones replaced the 1.5kg apprentice and will position her forward from an inside barrier. She has claims. BLUE CHIP GIRL (8) profiles similarly off a win and two close-up finishes at Toowoomba. Mallyon replaced the 3kg apprentice and she maps for the run of the race. TWYFORD (2) resumed at Doomben and needed the run. He's won 2/5 second-up and enjoys the track. He's in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing Luton Hoo.
NORTHAM: RACE 6 @ 5:03 PM
REPEATER (3) is a lightly raced galloper inching closer to a win, beaten just 0.6L over this course and distance last time out. He worked across to be prominent from an outside alley last time out. Fitter again now and the form out of his last start has been franked. The one to beat. FLYING FOREVER (8) makes his debut as a 4YO entire following a nice trial at Belmont recently. Carbery has been on board for both trials this time in and sticks with him today. He looks to have found a good race on debut and he can make an immediate statement. AL UNIQUE (7) disappointed first-up last campaign over a mile, but his recent trial suggests he's up to the mark. Pike hops in the saddle which is a big tick for his chances. Should get his chance and put his best foot forward. DANDY'S GEM (11) should have come on in the break after contesting some good 2YO races. Include. SNIP THE WIRE (10) was sound on debut and will appreciate the extra trip.
SELECTIONS: Repeater is the one to beat.
