Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 28.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Quirindi and Benalla.
QUIRINDI: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM
AWESOME TYCOON (3) came from near last on the turn at first run back when a tenacious sixth over 1280m at Muswellbrook on October 7. Undefeated second up and can race much closer from the low gate. Expected to go close. HARDYO (4) won two-in-a-row before struggling at his last two appearances. Finally draws a decent gate with the claim. Not to be underestimated. MAGIC FLYER (8) is racing consistently with top-four finishes in all four starts this time in. Go well again. OAKFIELD WARPAINT (1) worked home okay last start and draws to advantage.
SELECTIONS: Awesome Tycoon to win.

BENALLA: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM
CAMERON FALLS (2) raced up on the speed and gave a kick before being claimed close to home and finishing third last start over 1200m at Seymour. Drawn to enjoy an economical run so should run the longer trip out strongly. Ready to peak at the third run back. CANNY DEFENSE (3) started favourite but after leading for home lacked a kick and missed the placings over 1175m at Albury last time out. Open to plenty of improvement third-up over this more suitable journey. AASFAH (14) is a filly by Toronado from a Not A Single Doubt mare who makes her debut for the Price/Kent stable. Well found in early markets so one to key an eye on. The Hawkes-trained FREUD (4) makes its first appearance also. Bred to want a bit of ground so seven furlongs first-up looks a nice assignment. CHESAPEAKE BABE (9) returns from a five-month spell. Wasn't beaten far in any of the four runs of the maiden prep. Should go well.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Cameron Falls.
