Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 08.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Albury, Kempsey, Pakenham, Hamilton and Rockhampton.
ALBURY: RACE 4 @ 4:05 PM
LEICA TROOPER (2) is yet to strike through this campaign but is busting to break through. Was topped off nicely last start when closing hard into the placings. Peaking now and will appreciate reuniting with a gun hoop in Heywood. Will take some stitching. TAUMATA (4) got off the mark in this grade two back at Wagga. Couldn't quite go on with it last time at Wagga when sent out favourite but was still solid. Is drawn softly from the inside alley as he steps back in trip. Could prove tough to hold out if the gap appears. MY FRIDAY BEAU (11) is from a sharp stable and will be looking to bounce back quickly off a flat performance at Yarra Valley. Looks better suited back in distance and is among the key chances. CHECK SIDE (1) has hit the line hard in both runs back. Will drift towards the tail again from the draw and be saved for the final shot at them.
SELECTIONS: Leica Trooper to win.

KEMPSEY: RACE 5 @ 3:40 PM
The flying PIXIE HALLOW (8) was claimed late when resuming at Taree then had a five-week break before tiring in the final furlong in a Class 3 at Grafton last start. Drops in grade today and significantly Masuda is back aboard - he has three wins from four rides on the five-year-old. OCTOBER REVOLUTION (3) produced an eye-catcher to get up for third in a similar race to this at Port Macquarie two back. Failed over a longer trip in open company last time which isn't a relevant form reference. Big chance back in his right race. HEIR APPARENT (9) is back in fine order this prep, including a win in a BM66 over this trip at Port Macquarie to kick off two starts ago. Nicely drawn and should feature again. SHARKIM (5) didn't fire last start in a 900m scamper at Newcastle. Has a fine record at this distance and goes extra well when Bullock is in the saddle. DIS IS HEAVEN (7) capped some strong recent form with a nice win over 1106m at Port Macquarie recently. In the mix again.
SELECTIONS: Pixie Hallow to lead all the way.
PAKENHAM: RACE 3 @ 7:15 PM
THE ENGLISHMAN (2) is fresh for this and with a new stable, formerly with Peter Snowden. He can mix his form but his best would go very close at this level. IN YOUR HANDS (4) is racing in fine form, a winner of two of her past three starts. This is no harder than last time, she should push on and take beating. SALSITA (3) won narrowly second up at Kyneton and can continue to improve with more racing. INFINITY IMPERIAL (8) was okay last time and racing well prior. Include.
SELECTIONS: The Englishman on top.
HAMILTON: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM
HOAX (10) resumed from a spell last start as the favourite but looked well in need of the run when only finishing 12th of 13 over 1200m at Ballarat when sent out as the favourite. She has won second-up previously and in a fitter state can atone. FRAWLEY (4) is back from a spell of eight months. Closed last prep with an 11th over 1200m at Flemington in his only run last prep. He won his debut run two starts back and fresh-up in this line-up has to be respected. KING NEPTUNE (7) recorded another placing last time out, finishing second of 10 as the favourite over 1200m at Wodonga when he tried to lead all of the way. Drawn well and can go one better VERBOSITY (3) finished second last time over 1100m at St Arnaud in what was his second run this prep. He jumps from an inside gate and having won third-up previously has to be considered as a leading chance.
SELECTIONS: Hoax to win.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 2 @ 2:34 PM
Tricky race to assess with a few of these facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade TINKERBELLA (8) just missed the placings in town on debut and will find this assignment much easier. Is sure to have taken benefit from that race day experience and looks the one they all have to run down. NOSEY NEO (3) wasn't disgraced here on debut and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Can shed the maiden tag. DON'TDOUBTHELADY (7) couldn't have been more impressive winning a recent trial here at this circuit and draws the inside marble. A watch on betting is advised. TARONG (4) went down by the barest of margins last time out and looks to be nearing a maiden victory. In the mix. BOLLA BOLLA BABE (6) is another on debut and any push in the market must be respected.
SELECTIONS: Tinkerbella to break the maiden status.
