Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 27.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Moruya, Tamworth, Ballarat, Mackay, Bordertown, Warracknabeal and Carnarvon.
MORUYA: RACE 3 @ 12:49 PM
On debut RING OF FIRE (8) just missed at Wagga in an Open 2. That's good form and he will strip fitter. In good hands and a senior hoop goes aboard. The one they have to beat. EXILED PRINCE (11) led beaten 2L in the same contest on debut. Keeps the 4kg claim but today he has an awkward gate to manage. A player with average luck. Loy sticks aboard MCTOMINAY (5) who has threatened both race starts. He's in a form yard and backs up quickly. Back on turf, and he just has to run out the longer sprint to make the finish. KNEEL DOWN (1) missed a whisker as favourite at Nowra on debut and is a value hope building on that. Krogh continues his association.
SELECTIONS: Ring Of Fire appeals.

TAMWORTH: RACE 4 @ 1:55 PM
The lightly raced RESUME (14) was scratched from Race 3 over 1200m to be saved for this. Came from last to be beaten in a photo last time out over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Failed on debut over 1400m but needs to get back up to that trip based on her latest effort. Big chance at nice odds. HALLE BEE (9) worked home well to just miss the placings at her latest appearance over 1200m at this track. Has raced eleven times over today's trip and weighed in seven times. Each-way the best play. RAW GOLD (7) is a twenty-two-start maiden whose last effort at this track had merit. Finished third two back over this distance at Newcastle which is decent form. One for the exotics. SPANDEX (8) was strong through the line when resuming over 1208m at Port Macquarie last start. Fitter and the extra furlong looks perfect. Market watch on GHAZNAVI (4) who returns from a six-week freshen up with a tongue tie back on.
SELECTIONS: Resume an each-way special.
BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 5 @ 2:30 PM
Competitive. EL PIBE DE ORO (3) was quickly back on track placing here first-up at this level. Metro trained and he has more to give. Fitter and should take beating. TOCHKA (1) led and won a 64 here and then came back and folded up in a 70 after being challenged on speed. She's down in grade with a 3kg claimer booked and the yard flies at the track. A bounce is likely. RED LINE FEVER (6) resumes and will be in the finish if presented on song. She runs along and placed her latest in better grade at Pakenham. Her Maiden win prior was big. INNOCENT ENUFF (9) came here and improved sharply. She rides the speed and clearly enjoys the surface. She's capable of a repeat.
SELECTIONS: Backing El Pibe De Oro.
BORDERTOWN: RACE 4 @ 1:05 PM
SILENT EMMY (12) is a well-bred and lightly-raced mare that looks ready to win. She stepped straight from 1400m to 2200m last start and ran well. Back to 2000m here and, with the two runs under her belt, she's nearing her peak. She can win and go on with it as a stayer next season. MOANA'S FORTUNE (8) looks a gun wet tracker off the evidence of a dominant maiden win last time. She will handle the conditions and the rise in class. KODIAK KING (2) is another lightly-raced middle-distance prospect and he steps to 2000m for the first time. He is capable. MENACE TO SOBRIETY (3) worth including in exotics.
SELECTIONS: Backing Silent Emmy to win.
WARRACKNABEAL: RACE 1 @ 11:00 AM
FOX MAN (3) has placed in six of nine career starts and rarely puts in a bad effort. Looks around the mark as always. BLUE RHAPSODY (2) gelding by Blue Point from Bollinger Rose on debut. Scored in a recent Colac trial. Can make an immediate impact. BAZZAR (11) Trapeze Artist gelding from the stakes-winning mare Afleet Esprit. Recent trial winner at Mt Gambier. Gets Meech onboard and is a danger on debut. SHOUT ME (7) resuming from a break. Winner of a recent Hamilton jump-out. Opened last campaign with a second at Mt Gambier over 900m. Rates a danger. TE AWAM UTU (10) showed more than expected on debut and backs up quickly here, looking to cash in. Each-way claims.
SELECTIONS: Fox Man looks the one to beat today.
CARNARVON: RACE 5 @ 4:15 PM
WESTERN IMPACT (9) settled back in the run and launched a long attack as he ran away for a dominant win over this track and trip a fortnight ago. While that's hard to replicate, it does look to shape similarly this time from a wide barrier and he's well weighted under the conditions. Can bring up back-to-back wins. DESERT SLEEVE (10) drops back to 1400m today where he doesn't boast the best record, though he never got into the race over the mile last time out. Now drawn inside and with no weight on his back, his best form rates well among this field and a return to that level will see him in the finish. LE TROY (8) is racing in good order this time in and finished behind Western Impact last time out. Racing in good order and that formline looks the one to follow when assessing this race. TRADED CROWN (6) comes into this off a let-up and his last start produced some strong form. Worth including. DIVINE JUDGEMENT (2) is next best.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Western Impact.
