Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Moruya, Bathurst, Blackall and Bairnsdale.

MORUYA: RACE 8 @ 4:25 PM

DOLZINO (3) big jump in grade from the wide gate when a respectable eighth over 1200m at Rosehill in Highway class. Lone victory came at this track and ready to win with the solid set-up. SPURLINE (13) fair effort in the heavy (9) going when closing strongly to finish seventh over 1400m at Goulburn. Has genuine top three prospects on the firmer surface. PERUNO (4) consistent gelding who gets the visors on for this. Faded late with the 62kg in the soft (7) going when ninth over 1650m at this track. Finds a suitable race and gets conditions to suit. CRAZY ATOM (9) blinkers go on third-up and expected to take a hand in the finish. Not far away when a game sixth over 1400m at Goulburn. This looks easier and has each way claims.
SELECTIONS: Dolzino to bounce back.

BATHURST: RACE 1 @ 1:05 PM

MARVEL MAN (2) has been highly competitive in two runs this prep following a change of stables. Looked a winning hope but was edged out late last start over this course and distance. Kept fresh since that run a month ago and looks a class above his moderate rivals. Eight-year-old mare JACKETS (6) returned from a 230-day spell for new trainer John Rolfe at Canberra last start and was beaten narrowly in a 950m dash at Cowra. Looks the danger if she can replicate that performance. VESTIGE (10) battled on fairly while never threatening last time out over 1200m at Cowra. Fitter for two runs back and appeals on an each-way basis. FRENCH HARP (4) found the frame for the first time last start at Cowra. In the mix from an inside draw. POLENS (9) returned to form last start so although up in grade she can feature in the finish.
SELECTIONS: Marvel Man should be winning.

BLACKALL: RACE 1 @ 12:38 PM

GALATH (4) is unlucky to still be a maiden finishing runner-up at the past couple of outings and strikes a very winnable contest here. Gets 3kg weight relief with the claim and should be going very close to shedding the maiden tag. BLOOMIN' GOLD (7) has hit the frame at the past two starts and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the spell. Looms as the main danger. ANACARDIUM (1) has made it into the top-four in three of his past four starts and only needs some luck from the wide draw to be playing a role in the outcome. KENSINGTON'S JEWEL (2) is another to get some weight off and can prove the best of the rest while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Galath to break through.

BAIRNSDALE: RACE 4 @ 1:30 PM

ORTIGIAN GIRL (11) gets her chance to break through here in what looks the easiest race she's faced to date. She's a well bred filly who has been close up in all three runs this campaign, just finding one better at Pakenham Synthetic last start. Sets up well here and should really be winning. DOC'S NIPPER (2) is a gelding by Squamosa on debut for the Greg Hayes yard who won a recent jump out at Pakenham. He won't need to be a star to be figuring prominently. YOUARENOTALONE (7) resumes having been well beaten when in the market on debut at Echuca. Have to respect that support there, he can improve this time in. MADAM SO LATAIRE (10) was just fair on debut but could improve, especially on firmer footing.
SELECTIONS: Ortigian Girl to win.
