Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 29.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Wellington, Swan Hill and Rockhampton.
WELLINGTON: RACE 1 @ 10:55 PM
HANNAH'S BRIDGE (4) progressed nicely last time out when lining up for just the second time, battling on evenly for a close fourth over 1200m at Scone. Meets an inferior line-up today and the extra furlong looks ideal so this appears to be her race to lose. WINNING REIGN (12) has disappointed since finishing second over this distance at Warren three back. Draws beautifully and a senior rider goes on today so a better run looks on the cards. Thirty-start maiden POLENS (8) has raced here twice and placed both times. Not the roughest. MISROSA (5) can improve today with winkers applied for the first time. LOVE AIN'T FREE (1) ran a much better race last start and should be close to peaking at the third run back.
SELECTIONS: Hannah's Bridge to prove too good.

SWAN HILL: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
STRUGGLE STREET (8) resumed much improved when winning this grade by 2.5L at Warracknabeal from a wide barrier. Meech stays aboard and will position him forward from a handy gate. She won't have to be much improved to take this out. MISTAVAIN (5) is busting to win for a local barn and draws to advantage. Comes back 225m but is versatile enough to manage. Coffey has been engaged by his dad and that's a lead. OVER THE STARS (9) brings similar figures to peak. Has to push forward from an awkward barrier but has claims if that's managed economically. The local REWARD THE SHERIFF (6) found a 70 a touch rich at Mildura but had been racing well prior. Has the blinkers applied for the first time and he's won 2/5 at this course/distance.
SELECTIONS: Backing Struggle Street to win.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 1 @ 12:40 PM
The three-year-olds kick us off. ASK ME MATE (1) loves it here on his home circuit with four wins and three placings from ten spins and will be rock-hard fit for this. Racing with a lot of confidence this campaign and looks the one they all have to run down. BETTER THAN WORDS (2) resumes here but has revved up for this with a recent trial and is yet to miss a drum in three first-up attempts. Looms as the main danger while fresh. The penny has dropped for HORRIBLE HANK (6) who has put back-to-back wins together and winning hoop Richardson reunites. Top-three aspirations. AMBERINGER (5) will be near her peak now fourth-up from the break and looks one for the multiples. TIME TO PROPHET (4) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on.
SELECTIONS: Backing Ask Me Mate.
