Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for August 21.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Warrnambool, Rockhampton and Bunbury Aw.
WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM
DUBAI DANCER (5) is a leader who has gone close at her last two at Sandown-Hillside. She will use the inside barrier and has a handy 2kg claim. Drops back a stack in grade, and she has won 4/7 at the track and 2/2 this track/distance. The one they have to beat. The McEvoys have brought SIMPLY OUTRAGEOUS (11) over from Ballarat, and she's going well enough to feature. She has too much to do in a 64 on the Hillside last time beaten 2.5L, following a near miss at Geelong. She maps well today and has been kept on the fresh side. Mertens replaces the 3kg apprentice. MISO (1) was back to his best placing at Cranbourne, and it was a tough effort. The 1.5kg claim is handy, and he races well at home. ALWAYS HAPI (2) finished a whisker ahead of the above in the same contest as a $4.0 favourite positioned just behind the speed. John Allen rides today, replacing Prebble, who rides the above.
SELECTIONS: Backing Dubai Dancer.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 3 @ 1:40 PM
PREPOTENT (2) stuck on well to grab second here last start over 1400m. His figures are right up to the mark and he looks set to give another bold showing as he steps out to the mile. Wiggins back on adds confidence. MOOTESSA (3) was solid when third over this journey at the Sunshine Coast last time, following a win at Moree. Finds the right set-up here and boasts solid form. BOOM BOOM BELLA (6) scored a tough on-pace victory over this track and trip last outing. Expect another genuine effort up front. ZHUANG SHI (1) has been much better in his last two and is worth some thought if he can hold that form. ALL BUSINESS (7) doesn't win often but has the ability to feature if he produces something near his best.
SELECTIONS: Prepotent looks ready to win.
BUNBURY AW: RACE 7 @ 7:10 PM
OUTSPOKEN LAD (1) is suited in this contest and is likely looking for a firm surface and the longer journey. Chris Parnham takes over from the 3kg apprentice, and that's a decent push for his chances. COVENTRY REEF (3) was an easy winner this track/trip in easier grade. That reads okay, and he will carry just 51.5kg with the claim. That brings him right into it. CANNY JACK (7) settled back off a wide gate, and it was a big effort beaten 1.2L here on the turf. He has weight relief and gives every indication that the middle distance will suit. Has to be kept on side. WICKED COOL (4) peaks off a 2L defeat here on the grass in a 50, and carrying 4.5kg less is also in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Going with Outspoken Lad.
