Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 13.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Flemington, Doomben, Belmont and Morphettville Parks.
ROSEHILL: RACE 5 @ 2:15 PM
CATCH THE GLORY (9) underrated mare rewarded for her consistency when sprinting quickly for a dominant win over 1100m at this track. Gets the right race shape again and adept in all conditions. Hard to hold out. KERGUELEN (5) just over a month between runs when a commanding winner over 1200m at Randwick in the heavy (10) going. Goes just as well at this course and distance and Schofield sticks. FLYING FOR FUN (7) smart mare returning after jumping in grade when a fast finishing second in the G3 P J Bell over 1200m at Randwick last April. Returns with the one eye catching trial and expected to figure prominently. WORLD ALLIANCE (6) back marker kept fresh for this. Wound up late when the race was all over to secure second behind Cigar Flick over 1100m at Randwick. Fitted with a 1050m tick over trial and gets his chance. ROMEO'S CHOICE (1) tough customer who comes back a few grades today after fading late when fifth in the G3 Show County over 1200m at Randwick.
SELECTIONS: Catch The Glory will prove hard to hold out.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 9 @ 4:55 PM
Keen to be with LAZZURA (3) here who comes down from Sydney off the back of a dominant win in the G3 Show County at Randwick, the 1.4 length margin underselling the performance. She settled last and rounded them up with ease with a sharp turn of foot that she's shown in the past. 1400m will only suit better and the draw just looks perfect with McDonald on who should stalk the speed and get to the outside in the straight. ON DISPLAY (7) is a progressive mare who looked very good winning a Listed race in Adelaide before a spell, resuming with a big win in fast time at Caulfield, albeit in benchmark 78 grade. The query for her is barrier one against much better company. ABOUNDING (6) hit the line strongly behind Magic Time first up and maps ideally with Shinn on here. MARBLE ARCH (2) resumes and did run very fast time to win the G2 Blamey here two back. Respecting. It's D-Day for SPLASH BACK (11) who has had the gloss taken off her but she's a good mare who can bounce back.
SELECTIONS: Lazzura to win.
DOOMBEN: RACE 2 @ 12:33 PM
MISTERKIPCHOGE (2) has been plying his trade in harder Sydney metropolitan contests and is sure to appreciate the sharp drop back in grade here. Will be rock-hard fit for this and looks ready for the step-up in trip now. Rates the testing material. The well-related CAVALRY MAN (3) (half to G2 winner Positive Peace) placed around this circuit two back before not being too far away at Eagle Farm last time out. Gets 1.5kg off with the claim and rates a genuine top-three candidate on best form. Former NSW galloper FLEET COMMANDER (1) is having his first run for the new stable but has shown ability down south and any market support must be noted. LUPINE (6) is a consistent contender who has hit the top four in eight of his past nine starts. A must for the multiples. MISS CHENERY (9) is usually thereabouts and may earn some minor money again.
SELECTIONS: Siding with Misterkipchoge.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 6:30 PM
SHMOOV MOOVA (9) just missed out over 1200m at this track last time out when only 0.2L off the winner. Pike hops back in the saddle now and he was a winner in his only run over this trip. Can land in a good position from the draw and he looks ready to go one better. COSMIC CRUSADER (3) is first-up for almost a year, but he trialled very nicely behind Boots Like Bruce recently. CJP sticks from the trial which is a good push for his chances. Likely to be back in the run but it wouldn't surprise to see him storm home over the top in his first run for the Grantham stable. SUNNY HONEY (4) was solid last start over 1200m and should appreciate the step up to 1400m. He boasts a good record at this track and trip and Chris Parnham now hops in the saddle. He was a winner here just three starts back and he can play a major role. LINDEN'S GOLD (8) will find this tougher, but rates highly on recent efforts and can't be discounted dropping in weight. INVESTMENTSTRATEGY (1) is next best back in trip.
SELECTIONS: Shmoov Moova is the one to beat.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 9 @ 5:43 PM
TROPICAL HOUSE (11) is an above-average mare and suspect she can continue on her winning ways here. She draws perfectly and is very well in at the weights after the 3kg claim. Hard to see her not getting the run of the race and being there to pounce at the top of the straight. TALISAY (16) was brilliant first-up then only fair last time. She's got upside and, if you can forgive her for last start, she needs to be included as one of the threats to the favourite. BEAUTIFUL JEWEL (15) is Stakes-placed over this track and distance so must be included as an each-way chance here. She draws well and the stable is flying. DARKNCONFIDENTIAL (10) has had a few chances this campaign and, while he keeps racing well, he might struggle to match it with the favourites here. BRAVE STAR (1) is racing well but might need a wet track to show his best.
SELECTIONS: Tropical House to win.
