Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 15.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Muswellbrook, Corowa and Hamilton.
MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 6 @ 4:40 PM
SALVATO (13) improving Shalaa gelding who got off the mark at his second race start, before rocketing late with an unlucky second over 1250m at Scone. Comes out of a strong rating race and gets map favours today. Will take holding out. LIGHTHOUSE LASS (14) drops in class third up after heading to town with a plugging seventh over 1200m at Warwick Farm in a BM64. On the quick backup and has further upside. FOX REIGN (17) in need of the run first up when he knocked up late inside the 200m to run sixth over 1250m at Scone in C2 grade. Roper retains the ride in this easier contest. Each way. ARAMBYS (19) was beaten just a neck when third at his latest appearance at Tamworth over 1400m. Sure to go well again.
SELECTIONS: Salvato to assert his class.

COROWA: RACE 1 @ 1:55 PM
LA PLAGE (7) was ridden closer to the pace last Monday and battled on fairly to finish fourth over 1450m at Tatura. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and the step up in distance is ideal. Drawn well so everything points towards a big run. STAR EMPIRE (4) relinquished an early lead then battled away just fairly when out of the placings over 1800m at Gundagai last time out. Returned a good figure over the mile at Wagga the run prior. Sure to make his presence felt. TOO BIG (5) hasn't won for over two years but is racing well. Made up good late ground to grab third most recently over this distance at Seymour, his fourth placing from seven tries at the mile. Must be respected. DUSTY'S DEEL (1) was short on condition when resuming over this trip at Warracknabeal 16 days ago. Might need one more but cannot be dismissed entirely. SWEET TREATS (9) is ready to improve at the third run back from a spell.
SELECTIONS: Keen on La Plage.
HAMILTON: RACE 4 @ 3:00 PM
PARCHMENT (5) missed by the narrowest of margins here fresh when resuming off a long break. Can be forgiven for a flat second-up performance. Expect her to bounce back strongly. SIMPLY SASSY (8) has been knocking on the door with four consecutive placings. Peaking now and is well placed to break through for a deserved win. SADLERS SYMPHONY (11) is a Royal Symphony gelding on debut for the Wilde camp that deserves a market watch off the back of some solid jump-outs. Stable money usually spot on. ZEAMAIZE (3) has returned in consistent form, filling the placings in both runs this prep. Better again can't be left out of calculations.
SELECTIONS: Parchment to win.
