Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 23.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Leeton, Taree, Moe and Emerald.
LEETON: RACE 4 @ 3:45 PM
MACHETE (3) broke through at Wagga with a determined win over 1000m and looks to have more to offer. Lightly raced and can go right on with it. PLEASURIZE (1) showed plenty of fight last start at Queanbeyan when holding second after racing on speed. Can roll forward again and take catching. DEKADANCE (2) drops back from Highway company after fading into a midfield finish at Randwick race. The form around him stacks up. Sure to be very competitive. GUSTAV (6) was fair first-up at Gundagai and will strip fitter. Gets in low at the weights is among the chances. FINN'S THE ICON (5) is building and should be somewhere near his best now. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Machete gets the nod.

TAREE: RACE 4 @ 3:25 PM
SATONO INVADER (7) was an easing favourite on debut when a tenacious on pace second over 1212m at Coffs Harbour. Expected to have taken great benefit from that run and looks the one to beat from the good gate. RIVER BISCOTTE (16) at his top now fourth up and down in the weights with the winkers coming off. Drifted back further than anticipated and battled late when fourth over 1200m at Port Macquarie. Luke Rolls keeps the ride and expect to see him push forward from the sticky gate. TAKE A BREAK (18) eleven-start maiden who drops 3.5kg for this after knocking up late when fourth over 1200m at Tuncurry in the heavy going. Firmer track helps his cause and goes well here.
SELECTIONS: Satono Invader can go one better.
MOE: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
OMAMORI (1) capped two narrow defeats with a spacious win here over a middle distance. Keeps a top hoop and the staying journey should hold no fears. Draws inside and the lightly-raced galloper can go on with the job. MAWHERA (5) has threatened his last three and his latest was at Bendigo when stepping up to this distance. He also has an inside barrier to manage, but rates a decent chance. IN YOUR HANDS (6) won over 3100m last time and didn't have the best of it this trip prior. Coming back 653m is an ask, but she will run it out and rates some hope. ZILZIE LAD (3) is going well and tackles this journey for the first time. He can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Omamori.
EMERALD: RACE 5 @ 3:34 PM
The well-related PRESSZORA (5) (half to G2 winner Amor Victorious) couldn't have been more impressive saluting by over four lengths at Mackay on debut and looks the runner in this field with the most upside. Can go right on with the job now. HI FRANK (8) has been right there in all three runs this time in and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the break. Should take some running down. PEACEFUL PRINCE (1) is first-up for the new barn but will find this easier than recent south QLD efforts. Respect any market confidence. DEN END (7) draws the inside alley and may make his presence felt. BAILE FERVOR (2) next in line with Missen on top.
SELECTIONS: Presszora to go back-to-back to start the career.
