Today’s Horse Racing Tips - 01st November 2025

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 1.

Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Flemington, Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Ascot.

RANDWICK: RACE 9 @ 5:20 PM

WOOTTON VERNI (6) given the gun run by Damian Lane when relishing the 2000m to snare the G3 Coongy Cup at Caulfield. Peaking at the right time and Waller looks to have found a winnable race from the good gate. The one to beat. MAISON LOUIS (4) 2025 Queensland Derby winner who looks to have returned a decent four-year-old. Huge effort behind Lindermann when a slashing third in the G2 Hill Stakes over 1900m at Rosehill. Fitter now and expect Gibbons to make good use of the low draw. PALMETTO (5) Canberra Cup winner who can take control early fifth-up. No Lindermann to deal with today and will take running down. REDSTONE WELL (8) capable on his day and will appreciate the big weight drop out to the 2000m. Sherry sticks and will roll forward.
SELECTIONS: Wootton Verni to win again.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM

Onto the first of three Group 1's, and what a cracking Coolmore Stud Stakes it is. TENTYRIS (3) has a real sense of timing about him. He drifted heavily here first up but still ran very well through the inferior ground before being heavily backed at Caulfield. The win there was outstanding, getting off heels and charging late in fast time. He can improve again and that will give the early favourite BEIWACHT (1) a real race. Beiwacht is off five weeks coming back from the G1 Golden Rose where he was ultra-impressive winning by four lengths. He did have the pattern onside there but the form out of it has been outstanding and he'll be very hard to run down. BEADMAN (10) was unlucky in the G2 Roman Consul last time which has been a good guide to this race. Loved his recent jumpout down the straight. LEGACY BOUND (9) can run well at odds. He's crying out for 1200m and had things against in the G2 Danehill Stakes. SKYHOOK (5) has been good in the top Sydney leadups and has claims.
SELECTIONS: Tentyris to win.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 8 @ 4:52 PM

HOLY RACKET (9) has a good record over this sprint journey with four wins and four placings from 12 attempts and will strip fitter with that first-up effort now under the belt. Drawn to sit up on the pace from gate two and will give backers a sight. HURTS SO GOOD (6) loves this track and trip with three wins and a placing from four starts and will be at peak fitness now fourth-up from the spell. Looms as the main danger. ZOUPERB (7) resumes here but has only missed a quinella spot once in six fresh efforts and rarely puts in a poor one. Top-three prospects. MANHOOD (2) is a three-time winner around this circuit and can feature with any luck in running. CIFRADO (1) next in line with the 2kg claim.
SELECTIONS: Siding with Holy Racket.

MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 10 @ 6:00 PM

Tough way to finish the card. NICISH (9) just keeps fronting up and hasn't run a poor race all campaign. If she's not winning, she's going down narrowly and that is probably the knock. But she's drawn perfectly here to settle a tad closer and will be in the finish. She can win. SWIFTIE HARRIET (12) might be ready third-up. She's appeared to have every chance in both runs this campaign but just lacked the killer punch at the end of her races. Holder goes on but she's drawn wide, which may see her concede a start. HYPERNOVA (5) finished just behind both Nicish and Swiftie Harriet last start. He's drawn well to potentially settle closer and can win if things go his way. VALLENCOURT (15) can go forward with the claim and take some catching.
SELECTIONS: Backing Nicish each-way.

ASCOT: RACE 10 @ 8:30 PM

Exciting to see SMOOTH CHINO (7) back at the races following a big win in the Magic Millions 3YO at his last start. His recent trial was very strong around Jokers Grin and the form out of his last start was very strong. May need some luck from the draw, but he's a classy prospect who can remain unbeaten. YORGA PRIDE (2) couldn't bring up the hat-trick on a deteriorating track at Belmont 49 days ago and she's been freshened since. Cooper's 2kg claim comes in handy and the form out of that race worked out well. Can put her best foot forward. JAZ SESSION (8) wasn't beaten far last start behind the in-form Black Ora and jumped favourite ahead of that galloper. Maps for a lovely run and should be much-improved for the fresh run without a trial coming in. Will prove tough to run down. BRAVE SPIRIT (3) can strike third-up now despite the sticky draw. FIRST BEACH (14) looks a prospect on the rise and is not to be discounted off his last start win.
SELECTIONS: Going with Smooth Chino in the last.
