Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Ballina, Corowa, Rockhampton and Ballarat.
BALLINA: RACE 4 @ 3:40 PM
WRITTEN FAME (6) sharp winner two back over this track and trip. Sent straight to town when raced without luck from the wide gate to finish eighth over 1200m at Doomben. Winning rider hops back on and brings a superior set of figures here. PANTELONE (2) gripped on late two-back, before sitting on the pace with the claim when a tough winner over 1200m at Rockhampton. Will give a sight again. SARSEN (8) on the backup when a long overdue winner in average company over 1540m at the Gold Coast Poly. Hard fit and gets map favours. BEAN FOGGY (3) is resuming from a break. Fitter for a recent trial at Ballina and in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Written Fame looks well placed with Newman's claim.

COROWA: RACE 3 @ 3:25 PM
RENTESSIS (1) is a promising four-year-old who started favourite when fresh from a spell last start over 1300m at Bendigo bit just came up short after working home well. Nicely placed over an extra 100m and with a cosy run assured from an inside gate he looks a great chance to make it two wins from just three starts. COLOMBIANO (8) took control a fair way out and kept going for a soft maiden win over 1175m at Albury last time out. Yet to prove herself over this trip but she is going a lot better this campaign and should run it out. SHOWRATA (10) disappointed last start but was an excellent third over this distance at Wagga two back. In the mix if he brings his right form. THEO FIVE (11) returned in good order at Wodonga last time and will appreciate an extra furlong today. HELLBERG (2) seems to prefer this way of going so expect a better run today.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 5 @ 4:27 PM
WOODSTOCK ROCK (1) grows a leg for rider Wiggins who is yet to miss a drum in eight steers and will be high on confidence following a dominant win here last time out. Sure to be right there at the business end again. OUTWITTED (4) was a touch disappointing at the latest effort but the form prior was full of merit. Worth another chance. TIZSO FAB (3) has won two of his past three. Was below par two back at Bundaberg then bounced back with a win over 1400m at this track last time out. Sure to measure up and must be included in calculations. OUTTA CONTROL (8) resumed over 1200m at this track last start and finished fifth. Fitter and a top-three hope.
SELECTIONS: Leaning towards Woodstock Rock.
BALLARAT: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM
With all the scratchings MAXXI BON (5) gets chance to find some winning form. Has been going well recently, the latest placing in a similar race to this. Best figures stack up and loves the softer tracks. Looks a top player. ALBANIAN I AM (8) ran a big race at odds in richer company last time when tried to lead throughout and placed at Geelong. Course and distance placed and off the low draw can give a sight again. ESKIMO (1) steps up to provincial company after a last-start win by a nose over 1550m at Manangatang. Has been going very well though with two wins from last three. Senior rider goes on and wit good early pace will be in this for a long way. VERIFIER (6) is fitter for one run back from a break and looks a big improver.
