Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Grafton, Orange, Pakenham, Mackay, Port Lincoln and Launceston.
GRAFTON: RACE 8 @ 5:20 PM
GAMING (4) has gone to a new level this campaign and is chasing his third-straight win today. Allowed to take control early in the small field when a game winner with the 57.5kg over 1310m at Lismore. Goes just as well over this trip and gets map favours with the claim. Hard to stop in this rich vein of form. LADY ALABAMA (8) continued to race well since stretching out in trip. Strong through the line when an unlucky second over 1310m at Lismore. Can sit off them from the draw and pounce late. NEVER ISLAND (3) in need of the run first-up when a battling seventh over 1310m at Lismore. Will appreciate the claim and close off strongly. WILDERNESS STAR (10) tough mare who gets a better set-up at this level. Will push forward from the draw and has a good record here.
SELECTIONS: Gaming can keep the winning momentum going.

ORANGE: RACE 6 @ 5:03 PM
MASTER OF DISGUISE (11) was scratched from Canterbury on Wednesday to be kept for this. Led and tried hard but found one better last time out over 1175m at Albury. Yet to prove herself beyond six furlongs but with the light weight from a good draw she gets her chance. ROUGE MOULIN (6) is knocking on the door, the latest offering a closing second over 1200m at Warren. Has raced once over this distance at got the cash. Very fit and after the claim is very nicely placed. LIFE'S A PARTY (10) has a similar profile to Rouge Moulin with some recent minor placings over shorter journeys. Will put herself in the race and should be in the finish. Distance specialist SCOPICS (15) caught the eye at Kembla last start and is a chance down in the weights. TAVOLO (7) has been racing well over longer trips. Query coming back to 1300m at this stage of the prep but she is too honest to rule out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Master Of Disguise.
PAKENHAM: RACE 1 @ 6:15 PM
GROUND CONTROL (2) goes on top. He's a lightly raced 3yo who won dominantly on debut at Sale, resuming with a good run in a BM68 at Morphettville when third, giving away 5kg to the smart winner. Fitter for that, he maps for every chance and should really be taking care of these. THE OPPORTUNIST (5) was well beaten fresh at Caulfield Heath after settling back in the field. He showed ability last time in and should strip fitter now rising to a suitable 1200m. MUST BE SAIN (4) resumes for his second campaign. He finished last in a hot BM64 before a spell won by Planet Red who has placed in a G1 Caulfield Guineas since. He can improve into this campaign. ASTARI (3) resumed with a tidy maiden win at Traralgon first up with scope to improve. TEMPT THE GODS (1) will find this much easier than the Flemington run fresh.

MACKAY: RACE 2 @ 1:24 PM
BETTER BLITZEM (1) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 1000m at Townsville four weeks ago. Has plenty of upside and should go on with it. WASABI BARBIE (9) is a Rock Sturdy filly who was a AUD $4,000 (Magic Millions 2025 Capricornia Yearling Sale) purchase. Placed in a recent trial and should run well on debut. SCOTCH ROCKET (7) is a first-starter by Glenfiddich out of Beau River. Placed in a recent trial. A betting push will add to the confidence. ANDERS KISS (5) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Lachie Manzelmann. By Anders from Stellar Kiss. Proved too sharp in a recent Mackay trial and rates a top-three chance.
SELECTIONS: Better Blitzem to win again.
PORT LINCOLN: RACE 3 @ 3:20 PM
SKATING ON BY (11) looks well placed here. Former Victorian who resumed in town at first run for the new yard and gave a sight, just missing the frame when fourth in a 50k race. Fitter and surely hard to beat this line-up. STARS ARE ALIGNING (12) is having first run for a new yard. Returns from a long break but has run a decent race when fresh and looks well placed here. ALLROUNDGOODGUY (1) raced on speed and faded on a wet track at the provincials, fresh from a break. Strips fitter and should be around the mark. POWER PRIMO (10) finished off last campaign here at the end of last season with a fourth. Locally trained given a good spell and has run well fresh. Must include. ARLO'S DREAM (2) is another resuming from a long break. Has some fresh form and worth keeping safe.
SELECTIONS: Skating On By is the one to beat.
LAUNCESTON: RACE 9 @ 9:33 PM
OPENSEA (2) put in a solid run last start, finishing runner-up over 2150m here after being right in contention on the turn. That was his first run over a middle distance, and he will be better for it. We have him going one better here. CATCH A BREAK (1) was unplaced two starts back but improved to finish fourth last start over 2050m at Hobart. He benefits from a 3kg claim this time and can figure in the top 3. EAGLEFURTHER (5) broke through for her maiden victory at Hobart last start, and as so often happens when the penny drops, she can now go on with the job. ALISENT (4) has missed the placings in two runs this prep, and will be suited by the sharp step up in trip this time. She is not the worst top 4 chance at big odds.
SELECTIONS: Opensea is the one to beat.
