Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 26.
Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Wyong, Geelong, Ipswich, Launceston, Gawler and Geraldton.
WYONG: RACE 4 @ 3:30 PM
I AM CARROT (4) raced handy and gave a good kick but found one better when resuming over 1100m at Gosford last start. Placed at the Kensington track second-up last prep which is strong form for a moderate maiden. Draws the fence and won't get too many better chances to open his account. HERAION (8) was beaten less than two lengths for the third straight time when just outside the placings over 1100m at Hawkesbury recently. Jumps up quickly to 1350m which is a query, but she is racing too well to ignore. LUNE D'EXCELLENCE (9) caught the eye in the closing stages when runner-up over 1250m at Kempsey last time out, her first outing in 18 weeks. Will appreciate the step up in trip and the blinkers going on is a positive sign. RUSTEMO (6) made it three seconds from as many runs this time in work at Kempsey last start. Returning figures that suggest he is not out of place in a race like this. EXCEEDING LIMITS (3) should be ready to peak after two runs back from a break.
SELECTIONS: Keen on I Am Carrot.

GEELONG: RACE 3 @ 4:50 PM
LADY VERITY (11) resumes for her second campaign having run two good races last time in, just finding one better on both occasions, beaten half a length at Sale before a spell. She's a well bred filly by I Am Invincible out of a G1 winning mare and with natural improvement this time in she can get the job done. DIHHERI (10) is a filly by Royal Meeting on debut for the Kennewell yard. She's won both hitouts leading in and looks ready to go. Respect any market moves. RED BARRON (6) is off a long spell here having contested a pair of strong 2yo races when last seen. The betting will be key with him. CUISINE (9) resumes having been solid on debut here. Expect the stable have her ready to go.
SELECTIONS: Lady Verity to win.
IPSWICH: RACE 1 @ 02:08 PM
The maiden stayers kick us off. LA GRACIA (2) placed around this circuit last time out and must be respected from the Archibald camp. Strikes a very winnable contest here and rates the testing material in this line-up. MAKING EYES (7) just missed the placings at the latest effort in a career-best performance. Improving with racing and can make her presence felt. JADATAN (1) will be rock-hard fit for this and is a top-three conveyance with any luck in running. MISS ELLYSE (5) looks to be improving with racing and may earn some minor money again. PREACHABULL (6) rounds out the selections in a race with only a couple of key chances.
SELECTIONS: La Gracia to break the maiden status.
LAUNCESTON: RACE 4 @ 7:10 PM
ALPINE FURY (1) is a progressive type who was heavily backed at Hobart first-up, beaten 2.6L over a shorter sprint. Has his first start at Launceston and has plenty up his sleeve. He can make amends with average luck in the run. CORSA VELOCE (4) had been off the scene 301 days and did a good job first-up when beaten just 1.6L this track/trip. Came from back in the field and she's capable of sitting closer today. Will have come on and the Byrne Burke-Trinder linkage is hard to risk. COOL CONQUEST (7) is back after 5 days and brings a string of narrow defeats. Has a handy 2kg claim in easier grade and maps for the run of the race. A player. TIZSA NICE DROP (6) has been kept on the fresh side and drops back from a middle distance. Has Pires aboard today and will be finishing the race off at a price.
SELECTIONS: Alpine Fury is promising.
GAWLER: RACE 5 @ 4:30 PM
KERSEE (3) impressed fresh when chasing into the placings at Murray Bridge and had excuses last start in town. Third-up, with Toeroek taking the reins, she looks well placed in easier company and is the one to beat. SILVER CHAOS (7) has been knocking on the door, unlucky not to score in her last two. She backs up quickly, draws the inside, and there's plenty to like about her chances. GLASS BAY (4) broke through stylishly two back and backed it up with a brave effort here at long odds, missing narrowly. Peaking now and can be right in the finish. ICONIC JEWEL (2) resumes off sharp lead-up work. May need the run after a long break but is worth including. SIX STARS (8) has been inconsistent but has been freshened with 40 days and tuned up with two jumpouts. Capable of surprising and shouldn't be dismissed.
SELECTIONS: Kersee best of the day.
GERALDTON: RACE 7 @ 8:30 PM
STRAPPING PROPHET (3) is knocking on the door of another win, finishing 2.2L away most recently in a CL2. This looks an easier race which he'll relish, and he did jump the equal favourite last time out. Draws the inside, maps for a lovely run and looks the one to beat. SNIPPETY LEGEND (4) resumed with a good win over this track and trip last time out when running on from the back. He rates highly on that effort and it wouldn't surprise to see him improve second-up. Can repeat the dose. BATTLE ON BATTLER (1) landed midfie3ld and got the job done over this track and trip last stat, winning by 0.5L. May need some luck from the draw, but he loves this track and trip and is racing in good order. Has to be included. MASTER ALEX (2) is better than he showed last time out and coming back in trip can see him turn in an improved performance. SWANSEE (14) is another who was disappointing last time out and can bounce back.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Strapping Prophet.
