Today’s Horse Racing Tips - 7th December 2025

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 7.

Picture: Steve Hart

Australian thoroughbred meeting are today held at Rosehill, Hawkesbury, Armidale, Werribee, Sunshine Coast, Murray Bridge, Bunbury and Stony Creek.

ROSEHILL: RACE 4 @ 2:00 PM

MORTAL HALO (9) nice colt heading in the right direction. Gave his all second-up when a narrow second over this track and trip behind Ivan's Hero. Raced at Group level last time in work and strips fitter on the limit. Tags the speed and sure to be thereabouts. DARK SIMBA (2) snagged back from the wide gate before surging late with a respectable sixth first-up over 1400m at Caulfield. Gets the right set-up for this with his good second-up record. Top-three contender. AUTOMNE TREE (7) quickly running out of chances and the blinkers go on for this. Warmed up late when fourth over 1550m at Canterbury. Stays in the mix. SWIFT LEGEND (5) going nicely through his grades but doesn't get the same map favours here. Place prospects best.

SELECTIONS: Mortal Halo gets his chance with the 53kg.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:46 PM

NULLARBOR JANE (8) nice filly resuming and expected to go close. Finds a much easier assignment after running eighth over 1200m in the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes at Randwick on August 23. Fitted with a trial win over 737m. Main contender with the claim. LITIGATE (7) snagged back from the wide draw on resumption when fifth over 1000m at Wyong. Gets a better set-up for this and stays in the mix. INFANT WARRIOR (5) returns from a lengthy break. Struck trouble at the start on debut when seventh over 900m at Newcastle. Primed for his return with a trial win over 799m at Warwick Farm. Can take a hand in the finish. FIRE 'N' STONE (4) Farnan filly from Enstone on debut for the Archibald yard. Has the two trials and gets in light with the claim. Respect.

SELECTIONS: Nullarbor Jane should prove too strong for these.

ARMIDALE: RACE 3 @ 2:47 PM

IT'S A WRITTEN (8) is a 16-start maiden whose most recent effort over 1400m was disappointing. Turned in an eye-catcher the before over this course and distance when resuming. Big chance with a repeat of that effort. INVINCIBOO (1) came to Armidale for the first time recently and went close to a maiden win after travelling closer to the pace than usual. Nicely drawn so another big run looks on the cards. LULU A NATURAL (9) hasn't been all that far away at each run this prep. Blinkers coming off today may have an impact. THINK PI (2) hasn't fired a shot this time in work but might surprise off a seven-week let-up.

SELECTIONS: It's A Written to shed the maiden status today.

WERRIBEE: RACE 7 @ 4:40 PM

Over to the Cup and HOLYMANZ (1) looks very well placed off two good runs this time in. First up he was held up half the straight in the G2 Damien Oliver when beaten three lengths. He sat close to a strong speed in the Cranbourne Cup, got shuffled back and then came again late for a narrow third in a good effort. This is a fair bit easier and while he has to give them all weight, he only needs to hold his form from the good gate to be winning. PRECIOUS CHARM (11) and RUMBLED AGAIN (4) met in the G3 Summoned Stakes recently which Rumbled Again won at a big price. She's run well again since in the G3 Eclipse and has claims while Precious Charm can cross to lead which is always beneficial here. SCHEELITE (10) had no luck in the Cranbourne Cup last time at $10. He meets Holymanz better at the weights. VERDAD (5) was better second up in the Kilmore Cup when chasing a leader who had every favour. Peaks now, he just needs a good ride.

SELECTIONS: Keen on Holymanz.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 1 @ 1:08 PM

ATOMIC TIME (2) is unlucky to still be a maiden hitting the top-four in six of seven starts to date and strikes a very winnable contest here. Has placed around this circuit and looks the one they all have to run down. HE'S GOT GRUNT (4) is improving with racing and must be respected out of the Archibald barn. At peak fitness now and looms as the main danger. MR DEMOCRAT (6) has been just behind the placings of late and looks one for the exotics players. TAPAGAL (11) next in line from the inside alley.

SELECTIONS: Atomic Time to break the maiden status.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 4 @ 3:19 PM

LUCAS THE YOUNGER (1) impressed here last start when leading throughout and scoring comfortably. At peak fitness now and drawn to roll forward again, he looks the one to beat. CHARTIN (8) hasn't broken through for a long time but finds this easier on the quick back-up. Has sharp early speed and a strong record at this venue. Bold showing anticipated. PAGANINI (2) is still chasing his first win but continues to knock on the door. Blinkers go on to sharpen him up and he's not without a chance. ZAIN PRINCE (3) was well below his best last start at headquarters but had been ticking along nicely prior. Drawn much kinder this time and gets in well with the claim, so can bounce back. EASY BEAST (6) mixes his form but has good early speed and can play a role up front.

SELECTIONS: Lucas The Younger is the one to beat.

BUNBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:49 PM

SUNSET SESSION (1) was very good on debut at Pinjarra down the straight, finishing in 0.7L off the winner when debuting in Saturday company. He's since trialled nicely coming in at Belmont and he maps for a lovely run from the inside draw. Ticks plenty of boxes and can resume on a winning note. TENNESSEE SPIRIT (7) was heavily backed on debut when bumping into a smart one before going back last time out and never really looking likely. Back to 1000m now, but where she gets to in the run could be an issue. No doubt she has class though and rates highly on what she's done thus far. WHY SHE STAYED (6) just missed over 1200m here last start and has to be included. FROSTLAND (10) will find this easier than her debut effort and won't be far away.

SELECTIONS: Going with Sunset Session in the opener.

STONY CREEK: RACE 6 @ 4:14 PM

SHANGHAI VENTURE (2) disappointed two back at Geelong, but the form around that reads strongly. Went well in a metro 80 three back and was nudged out at this level at Kyneton last time. Can race forward and finds the right race. DOMINANT MISS (6) ran his best race beaten less than 2L in the same contest. Needs some luck pushing forward but can get into the money today. TRAK CHILLER (3) resumes and didn't come up last preparation. He showed enough early doors to say this is winnable if she's presented on song. The betting will be key. CHARMING DI (4) made good improvement, delivering a 52 at Bairnsdale a month ago. This is a bit harder, but winning form is good form in a moderate contest.

SELECTIONS: Backing Shanghai Venture.
