Race 1: WELCOME TO THE EARLY SEASON MAIDEN (1100m)
PEGGY'S LASS (5) can make an impression first-up after tackling strong company at the end of last campaign and going under. Her debut effort over 1000m at Ascot was great and if she can return at a similar level today, she should be making light work of these. FOUR SEAS (8)
disappointed at Albany at the end of last campaign but looks in good order judging by her recent trial. She has plenty of upside and she can put herself on the speed form out wide. Nicely placed and should be going close. G'DAY BLOKE (2) is another who has trialled well coming into this. He is almost a year between runs, though his recent trial was solid and this is the easiest race he's been in. Can put his best foot forward. SANSANEE (4) can be prominent in the run and will take catching if she's at her best.
Race 2: ENJOY & SAVE AS A NARROGIN RACING MEMBER MAIDEN (1190m)
WINEACLOCKSUMWHERE (4) has gone close in his past couple, just missing as an equal favourite last time out at Geraldton. He looks to get a lovely run in transit this time from an inside alley and he looks set to shed the maiden tag. WRITTEN SIN (10) looked good in her recent trial at Lark Hill. Her two siblings are both winners and she should get her chance from a nice barrier. Can put her best foot forward on resumption. BRANDBERG (3) won his only trial this time in work and looks ready to fire on debut. The draw is a little niggle, though he looks to have found a nice race to start his career and it wouldn't surprise to see him in the finish. SUMMER MOOD (7) will find this much easier than the races she's contested in her career to date and she has claims. STRUTTING FOR CASH (6) drops right back in trip for the new barn and comes into this on the fresh side. Creates interest.
Race 3: BECOME A SPONSOR HANDICAP (1100m)
FLICK THE SWITCH (5) was far too good at Albany to finish last campaign, sitting deep and still getting the job done in fine style. This looks a lovely set up for her today on resumption. No trials coming in but if she can pick up where she left off then she'll take a stack of beating. SECRET STONES (1) makes his move out west following a solid campaign for the Lindsay Park Operation in Victoria. He may want further in time, but he's capable of putting himself close to the speed and from the inside draw. Can make his presence felt. OCEAN OUTLAW (3) bolted in at Collie last time out in easier company. He had been competitive in nice races prior to that and he maps for a lovely run today. Can repeat the dose without surprising. DODGE 'EM (2) can run a bold race on debut.
Race 4: TABtouch NOW WITH SCAN MY BET HANDICAP (1720m)
Tricky race. KEYTRADE (1) has been racing in much stronger grade for a long time now and looks to have found a winnable race. He does have to carry the big weight, though he deserves the weight and he should sit right on the speed. Expecting him to turn his form right around. LUCKY HEART (3) has been close in both runs this time in, finishing 1L away in the Collie Cup most recently. He boasts a handy third-up record and he is a course and distance winner previously. Maps for a kind run and can put his best foot forward. BLAISZEN CAZAH (4) stuck on well at Collie after being caught wide throughout. He's drawn better this time and he drops in weight off that effort. He's unbeaten at this track and trip and is sure to be in the finish. SMOKING BARREL (8) has claims third-up and down in the weights. MISS LAQUETTA (7) will find this easier than recent races and is not to be discounted.
Race 5: TRIPLE MS THE RUSH HOUR HANDICAP (1190m)
WORK HOME FRONT (6) resumed in good order at York when only narrowly beaten. The form out of that race has worked out well with the horse who beat her since winning again. Maps for a lovely run and with added fitness on her side, she can go one better. HE'S ARCHIE (4) has hit wet tracks his past three and now comes into this on the fresh side. He foes well at this trip and getting back on top of the ground is a big tick for him. Can be prominent and land the knockout blow. SIR BEAR A LOT (2) is a lightly raced commodity who got too far back at his latest run prior to a spell. He may end up being better over further, but he has been effective over the shorter distances early in his career. Can go close today. INVINCIBLE POWER (1) makes the move out west and should be in the finish if he can run up to his Victorian form. SALARY MAN (7) can be in the finish on resumption.
Race 6: TRIPLE MS THE RUSH HOUR HANDICAP (1100m)
HOT CHATTER (8) was good throughout last campaign and comes through a hot Belmont trial in readiness for this. She maps for a lovely run in transit and she's placed 6/7 over this trip. Can make an impact on resumption. BLUE LINE (2) got the job done prior to a spell at Albany and posted a good figure in doing so. Fresh without a trial here, but the claim and inside draw help. Big chance if she can be close to his best first-up. PENNIES GALORE (5) looked good in a recent trial at Lark Hill and has plenty of ratings to match her rivals today. She can sit just off the speed from a nice barrier and land the knockout blow late in the race. FRANTIC WAR (4) moved well in a recent trial and should be in the finish if he gets some luck from the draw. AUNTY JEAN (7) looks well placed in this company and can get back to winning ways.
