Best bets for the nine-race card at Morphettville Parks on Saturday.

It's Champions Day in Melbourne and, while there probably aren't any champions going around in Adelaide, there are still nine winners to be found.

One horse that definitely looks destined for higher grade than the Class 2 she tackles on Saturday is the Phillip Stokes-trained Zunna, who will start as one of the favourites.

She looks the best bet on the program for me. She's won two of her five starts, including a similar race at this track and distance two starts back. Her last-start defeat came at the hands of Shady Thinker, who looks a Stakes horse in the making.

She maps to get the perfect run just behind the speed for Jacob Opperman and will likely have a tactical advantage over several of her key rivals that have drawn wide. At around $3.20 in early markets, I'm keen to bet.

In Race 5, I'm keen to have something each-way on Alchian, who is currently around $17.

He was unlucky not to win the Mindarie Halidon Cup last start and, while that might not be the strongest form reference, it was evidence that the horse might be getting back to some of his better form.

The step-up to 1950m looks suitable and he maps well from barrier three. He can definitely run a cheeky race.
