Metro racing is back on the Sydney scene with 10 events at Rosehill. Here's our best bets.

We head to Rosehill Gardens on Saturday with big fields across the card on Group 3 Gitani Stone Festival Stakes day.

Our best bet comes up in the TAB Country Classic (2000m), with the Craig Martin-trained Tavros. 

The Tamworth gelding arrives here fifth up, and is yet to be tried over 2000m.

The five-year-old son of Bull Point has gone to a new level this preparation, racing well in Country Cups at his first three runs.

Last start, Tavros came to town when an eye-catching fifth from back in the field behind Osipenko in the $750,000 Little Dance (1600m) at Randwick.

Tomorrow Tavros finds an easier assignment and expect to see him go back from the wide draw and relish the fast tempo. 

Ash Morgan hops aboard in what appears a target race, and look for him to swoop late.

Hovering around $3.10, it would not  surprise to see the bookies take a set against him come jump time.

Our next best comes up in the Group 3 Gitani Stone Festival Stakes (1500m), with Yorkshire who can stage a sharp form reversal.

The exciting Snitzel gelding from the O'Shea and Charlton yard, pulled up with cardiac arrhythmia first up after having a torrid run when last in the Group 2 The Hunter (1300m) at Newcastle. 

Yorkshire gets a much better set-up tomorrow from the inside draw, and Zac Lloyd can park him in the stalking position where he can redeem himself before heading to The Ingham in two weeks.
