Morphettville Parks Races Review on 29th June 2024

Jockey Sam Payne kept his good run going when he steered Classy Kenny to a win in the 1000 metre opening race at Morphettville on the Parks track on Saturday.

Jointly prepared at Murray Bridge by Carina Riggs and John Hickmott Classy Kenny  came from last with a withering outside run.

The Murray Bridge track provided the second win in a row when the Andrew Clarken prepared Magic Field won the 1000 metre second race.

Giving apprentice Rochelle Milnes another win Magic Field  race one off the pace before recording a strong win out the 1950 metre third race.

Being under the care of Garret Lynch Chosen Miss worked herself into the race to record her fifth win from thirty-three starts.

Cranbourne co-trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young were well pleased with the win of Cawdor  n the 1550 metre fourth race.

A former French galloper and having the services of Todd Pannell Cawdor led for most of the journey.

Coming off a last start second at Murray Bridge LIngani presented hoop Dom Tourneur with a win in the 1000 metre fifth race.

Trained by the husband and wife team of Peter and Belinda Blanch Lingani came from the rear of the field to win.

Feminile entered black type company when she took out the listed 1400 metre Oaklands Plate.

Coming out of the Philli Stokes stable at Pakenham the Kayla Crowther ridden Feminile came from last with a powerful run down the outside to bring up her first win and will now have her next start in the SA Sires' Produce Stakes in three weeks-time.

The father and daughter team of Richard and Chantelle Jolly was well pleased with the win of Great maximus in the n1250 metre seventh race.

Guided to victory by Jacob Opperman Great Maximus stuck to the rails to record an all the way win.

Horseman Garret Lynch brought up his second winner for the day when Smiling Assassin won the 2250 metre eighth race.

Ridden by apprentice Margaret Collett Smiling Assassin  kept up the strike rate of winners coming from the back of the field.

The training partnership of Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea opened up a two win gap on the city trainers' premiership when Komachi won the 1400 metre final event.

Ridden by Ben Price Komachi was another runner to come from the rear of the field with a strong outside run.
