Midweek racing from Caulfield Heath & Canterbury and we've got a horse to follow from each meeting.
Caulfield Heath Race 1 - Almost An Angel
Very keen to follow the two-year-old winner, a filly by So You Think who was on debut over the 1000m, charging all over the top of her rivals late to win by two lengths. The overall time looks good against the other 1000m races on the card, only running about 0.4 seconds, or around 2.5 lengths, slower than the those races which is pretty good for a two-year-old. The way she won suggested there's plenty more to come as she gets over more ground.
Canterbury Race 3 - Swift Legend
The first two across the line can be followed here with the lightly raced Big Tiger sticking on well for second. As for Swift Legend, this was the first time he'd stepped beyond 1400m and he clearly relished it, which is no surprise given he's by Dundeel. It was comfortably the best time figure on the card and one of two (along with Sweltering in R1) to break the RAS standard time on the card.
