Wayne Lordan has appeal rejected

Wayne Lordan's appeal against a 10-day whip suspension has been rejected on Friday.

Lordan, who will be a key cog in the Aidan O'Brien wheel with Ryan Moore sitting out injured on the sideline, was handed a 10-day suspension after being found to have used his whip in the incorrect position when winning on Precise in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood last month.

With the original decision upheld, Lordan will miss both the St Leger meeting at Doncaster and the Irish Champions Festival at Leopardstown alongside next weekend's fixture at the Curragh.

As both Lordan and Moore sit and watch on, Christophe Soumillon looks in line to pick up the majority of Ballydoyle's plumb rides.

Rebel's Romance to sidestep Baden-Baden

Rebel's Romance has been ruled out of the Group 1 155th Grosser Preis von Baden at Baden-Baden on Sunday due to unsuitable ground conditions.

Charlie Appleby's globetrotting superstar, who has already won four top-level races in Germany, was set to take on William Haggas' Dubai Honour and Francis-Henri Graffard's 2024 King George hero Goliath.

One Look joins Wathnan team

Paddy Twomey's talented mare One Look has joined Wathnan Racing.

Having burst on to the scene with a sparkling winning debut in the Goffs Million as a juvenile, One Look appeared to have the world at her feet. Whilst she hasn't gone on to score at the top level, Paddy Twomey's mare has gone on to show some high-class form, winning the Group 3 Park Empress Stakes on her reappearance this season before adding another success at the same level her CV in the Meadow Court Stakes at the Curragh.

The daughter of Gleneagles has plenty of options for the remainder of the season before likely retiring to be a broodmare.

Regally-bred Raaheeb makes winning debut

The regally-bred Raaheeb made the perfect debut at Ascot on Friday when running out a smooth winner for Owen Burrows, Shadwell and Jim Crowley.

A son of Sea The Stars, Raaheeb is a full brother to multiple Group 1 champions Baaeed and Hukum.

Owen Burrows' exciting juvenile was nursed to the head of affairs passing the furlong marker before keeping on well in the final stages to get the better of the Alan King-trained Pompette by a length and a quarter.

Speaking to Sky Sports Racing, Crowley said: "We liked him at home, but he's so sleepy–he almost tripped over himself in the parade ring and cantered down like an old horse.

"He's very relaxed now and I thought if he won today, it would be on pure ability, as he is a next-year horse. Today wasn't the be-all-and-end-all, but he's got some of his brothers' blood.

"The feeling I get off this fellow is he will be a nice middle-distance horse for next year."
