The G1 feature on Dusseldorf's Sunday card, the Henkel-Preis-der-Diane German Oaks saw a strong performance from the German runners.
It may be time for the raiders to look a bit closer to the German form as it is no longer send a G3 horse to Germany to pick up a G1. Their racing has come on a lot and they need to be taken a bit more seriously.
The winner here on Sunday was Nicoreni who started in the UK on 14/1, for Schiergen-Wolff, a daughter of Bramelot. Innora 20/1 was second Nyra third with the first five places going to German horses.
Earlier in the day the Frits-Henkel G3 saw Geography win from Aigle Vailard 14/1 and Next Mine 3/1.
