"Like EJ does with her, he takes his time with his horses. That has reaped the benefit today. She has always shown plenty of ability but it is just a matter of showing it on the track and getting her race manners into gear.
"Looking at her action, she could get over more ground. She's placed (at least) in all her races and she runs her best every time she races.
"She's a fighter. I was confident. She was free in her action and stretching out. I thought it would take a good one to get past her."

"She's a good mare. She's got a lovely action. I think the best way is to utilise that. You can lead or sit outside the leader.
"I wasn't expecting Acid Wash to be up there on the pace. It was what it was. Initially I was happy to cruise behind and take box seat but then it took it up and I was happy roll and utilise her action.
"She's got a beautiful action but she still doesn't know how to use it 100%. At the top of the straight there, she got a little bit tangled up and I had to be patient for a stride until she untangled herself.
"She was only getting stronger late and warmed up. She's a really nice mare and I've like her since I first sat on her in at jump out.
"At Seymour, I thought she'd go there and make a mess of them but she didn't. There were excuses. I don't know what trip she will get to but if she can run 2000, look out, she'll win some nice races."
