Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 11.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington, Sale, Doomben, Balaklava, Belmont Park and Devonport.
RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM
ROCK EMPIRE (5) had his first run for over ten months when a strong second to the promising Yorkshire over this distance at Warwick Farm three weeks ago. Ran a cheeky race at Group Three level at this stage last prep. Meets a deep field today but is good enough to prevail. GROUNDRUSH (4) made late ground without threatening when fresh from a 20-week break over 1200m at Sandown last time out. Won here and was beaten just 0.6 lengths by the talented Legacies in his two 1400m runs last time in work. Definite threat. GETAFIX (12) finished a long way behind Autumn Glow recently over 1300m at Rosehill. Each-way chance back in midweek company. TRUE TO FORM (1) is flying under big weights at the provincials. Deserves his chance against better opposition. UNITED KINGDOM (10) is a new arrival in the Waller stable. Had a boom on him in Melbourne. Watch the betting.
SELECTIONS: Rock Empire to win a nice race to close the program.

SALE: RACE 8 @ 5:05 PM
SHE'S A HUSTLER (11) resumed at Geelong, her Australian debut, and won dominantly as a short-priced favourite. She looks a smart type for the Begg yard who can measure up quickly here. PRAY DAY (4) is a nice type who won his maiden well at Swan Hill two back before a close up second here last time. Racing well and will take some beating. NEARING LIBERTY (2) resumed with a narrow maiden win at Bendigo and is open to plenty of improvement. CYCLONE HARMONY (3) is drawn to get back but should be at peak fitness and could sneak into the finish. CORTAIN (5) is a place chance off the latest effort.
SELECTIONS: She's A Hustler to win.
DOOMBEN: RACE 5 @ 2:53 PM
JUST PRECIOUS (10) showed ability in her only public trial before setting the pace and being run down late into second place on her debut here 18 days ago. She was sent out favourite that day and should be spot-on second up with the natural improvement that can be expected. James Orman takes the ride and she will also find this easier. On top. Follow your money. UNEGA WAHY'A (7) is knocking on the door with back-to-back second place finishes most recently. The blinkers are on for the first time and with the benefit of a 3-kilo claim he will be very hard to hold out. HEADLINE LEGEND (3) has been in the money in all of her 3 career starts to date, albeit in softer company than what he meets here. His fitness won't be an issue, and his first win is not far away. MARAGICAL (11) will be peaking third up and his condition only gave out late at the Sunshine Coast a fortnight ago when finishing third. She only needs a touch of luck from a tricky gate and can figure in the finish again.
SELECTIONS: Just Precious to win.
BALAKLAVA: RACE 3 @ 1:15 PM
LITTLE PRINCESS (13) progressed nicely second-up when denied a head from his break through victory. Improvement to come and gets a huge jockey switch with Kah piloting. The one to beat. PRODIGAL LAD (2) bounced back off a disappointing effort at Murray Bridge with a close fourth at the latest. Fitter again and has a leading hoop in Toeroek. Key chance. SUNDOGG (3) was only fair when returning last time. Has more to offer second up and is drawn favourably. Don't dismiss lightly. IN CINQUE (11) returns and looks to have taken the right steps during the break. Don't take lightly.
SELECTIONS: Little Princess to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 4 @ 5:35 PM
SINFUL LIVING (2) resumed in good order over this track and trip, beaten 0.4L as favourite. She's a second-up winner in the past and she should roll forward from the alley to be up on the speed. She still has plenty of upside and can work her way through the grades. MAGNIFICENT CARAT (3) finished behind Sinful Living last start when 2.1L off the winner here. She can take a dip second-up, though her best form is good enough for a race like this. CJP remains in the saddle, and she should get her chance from a good alley. SMOKEY MOUNTAIN (1) resumes from a freshen and trialled well recently following a disappointing effort at Northam. He's better than he showed there and has been known to perform when fresh. Can put his best foot forward. STATE OF FURY (5) resumes without a trial and won't be far away. DORADO (6) drops right back to this trip where he was good fresh at Pinjarra. Include.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Sinful Living.
DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 10 @ 4:49 PM
JOHNNIE PINCH (5) has raced a short-priced all three runs this preparation and delivered the CL1 here the latest over this distance. Keeps Pires and maps for the run of the race. Has weight relief and can go on with it. COUP DE SPRY (7) brings a 60 win from Hobart at 1600m improving again. He's only won 1/6 at this track but rates well and may position closer in the run. VINTAGE DIESEL (6) has needed the two runs back and will be much sharper over this trip. Has a 2kg claim and has trialled well over 1350m since last seen. Deserves each way consideration. COPPLESON (8) brings two narrow defeats at the circuit and has been kept up to the mark with a trial win. He gives away starts and needs things to go right from the inside barrier.
SELECTIONS: Backing Johnnie Pinch to win.
