Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 12.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Kembla Grange, Kyneton, Caulfield Heath and Albany.
KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 7 @ 5:50 PM
POCKETING (14) taken back from the sticky gate on resumption when an eye catching second over 1300m at Hawkesbury on November 28. Has bumped into some promising types at his last two runs and returned good figures first-up. Goes close again. AMERICAN STARLET (5) handy mare with the two wins from six starts who bumped into the smart FIDDLER'S GREEN second-up when a fading seventh over 1400m at Hawkesbury on November 21. Winkers go on and will find this more to her liking. GENDARMERIE (15) kept safe in betting on resumption when a tiring third over 1300m at Hawkesbury in this class on November 7. Has won second-up and will be in this for a long way. TOES IN THE WATER (4) hard in the market on resumption when a plugging fifth over 1200m at Canberra on November 24. Placed second-up and will relish the claim again.
SELECTIONS: Pocketing to win.

KYNETON: RACE 4 @ 3:05 PM
COMMAND ORDER (2) was narrowly beaten three times heavily bet before a forgive run at Kilmore when he didn't handle the heavy track. He hits this race at peak fitness and rates to be winning. BALTIC WAY (1) resumed over a mile in the Command Order race at Kilmore and needed the outing. He has plenty up his sleeve and the longer journey suits. PRINCE PINOT (7) was spelled off a 1.6L defeat at Donald and resumed in solid order on the Bendigo heavy over 1500m. He will be better for that and the inside gate should advantage. I'M INSPIRED (4) resumes with Newitt a positive jockey booking. He may need one but has pieces of form that would see him competitive.
SELECTIONS: Backing Command Order.
CAULFIELD HEATH: RACE 1 @ 3:25 PM
SIGIRIYA ROCK (3) has just found one better at both starts to date but looks very well placed to break through here. The debut run at Sale rated well before just being run down at Kilmore on wet ground which may not have suited. Out to 1600m, drawn well, he looks the one to beat. MISS YOU ALL (5) ran well at Geelong over 1300m last time and looks very much suited to a mile now. Can measure up. SHARE THE PENNIES (7) was better last time although will need to improve again. NEWCOMBE (1) was sound fresh and could sneak into the finish.
SELECTIONS: Sigiriya Rock to win.
ALBANY: RACE 8 @ 8:15 PM
ANTIQUE QUEEN (7) is an exciting mare on resumption after tackling the Belmont Oaks and Classic to end last campaign. She worked through the grades impressively and her two trials this time in have been great. Gets the winkers on first time and she can resume on a winning note. HEAR ME SING (1) was collared late over the mile here last time out in a return to form. Back slightly in trip shouldn't be an issue, though he will need a touch of luck from the draw. Hasn't won for a while but he is knocking on the door and can end the drought today. ODDONEOUT (4) finished behind Hear Me Sing last time out but was only second-up there and she tends to improve with racing. While the draw is sticky, she's building nicely this campaign and can get back to her best now. MAGNABURMA (5) closed off nicely over 1240m last start and should appreciate the extra trip. Include. JOLLY LACE (8) can improve again third-up after going under as favourite last time out.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Antique Queen in the last.
