Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for September 16.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meeting are today held at Wodonga, Bowen and Moruya.
WODONGA: RACE 2 @ 2:00 PM
Hayes-trained VOUCHERS (10) placed in a Flemington jumpout and then impressed when beaten 1.4L at Wangaratta on debut after an awkward start. McDougall stays aboard and he navigates well around here. Strips fitter and ready to win. THE BETTER HUSBAND (9) resumes and wasn't beaten far at Pakenham on debut. That stacks up and he's jumped out well at Cranbourne. He will be naturally improved and a bold return is likely. SWING YOUR MAGIC (3) impressed at his first two race starts and third-up this preparation he should be ready to show more. He didn't have the best of it last time and Egan stays aboard. TIKKEN (4) resumed at Cranbourne and was a run short. The longer sprint suits and he's in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Vouchers appeals.

BOWEN: RACE 4 @ 3:40 PM
MADAM BORODINA (3) had been improving with racing and that culminated with a solid Home Hill win last time out. Will have taken a stack of confidence from that victory and can go back-to-back against this line-up. MELO MELO KAVA (2) has been thereabouts in both runs since joining the new stable and will be ready to peak now third-up. Should be right there at the business end. PRIDEOFTHEBIGFISH (4) was an impressive winner at the latest effort and jockey Sewell sticks in the irons. Top-three aspirations. Former NSW galloper SOUTH BULLAWAY (5) is having his first run for the new yard and any market support must be respected. MISHANI AMORE (6) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Siding with Madam Borodina.
MORUYA: RACE 7 @ 4:35 PM
Good little contest with a host of chances. DUPLI KATE (8) eye-catching effort first up when third to the promising Tuileries over 1400m at Warwick Farm in a high rating BM72. Clearly come back well and senior rider hops on today. Genuine top-three contender. BON FRANKIE (3) is retaining his zest for racing and indicated a win was imminent when looming strongly for a close-up fourth over 1300m at Canberra. Backs up quickly and maps to get the gun run. EPAULLO CREED (4) taken to the front from the outset and over raced in the middle stages when fading in the straight to run sixth over 1300m at Canberra. Apprentice keeps the ride, and he has a good set of figures here. MASTER RILEY (6) returned from a lengthy break with a plugging ninth over 1250m at Randwick Kensington in BM72 grade. Had excuses from the outside gate last start and drawn the rails for this. Improver.
SELECTIONS: Dupli Kate will take holding out.
