Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Sandown Hillside, Morphettville Parks and Belmont Park.

ROSEHILL: RACE 8 @ 4:05 PM

TEMPTED (9) was an outstanding two-year-old and she looks to have blossomed in her classic year judging but a devastating first-up win in the Run To The Rose. Gets to 1400m for the first time but it looks made to order. Only needs luck slotting in from a tricky gate to be the first filly to win since this race became a Group 1 in 2009. BEIWACHT (1) looked a chance in the key lead-up until Tempted swept by. Races handy and has battled on well in his two runs this prep over shorter trips. A strong 1400m under high pressure is the unknown, but he is the pick of the colts on form this prep. SKYHOOK (3) made late ground in the RTTR which suggests this first try at 1400m is a positive move. Peaked at this stage last prep in the Pago Pago so he has more to offer. WODETON (4) has been beaten six times since his debut win. Not far away over 1400m in the Sires and did hit the line well behind Tempted last time. Must be included. AUTUMN BOY (7) is in the deep end but loaded with promise.
SELECTIONS: Hard to tip against Tempted.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 4 @ 1:55 PM

Very keen on KING ZEPHYR (1) second up at 1400m. He was well supported fresh at Moonee Valley but 1200m there in a steadily run race didn't suit and he was just outsprinted, picking up strongly late to finish third. He went through the grades impressively last campaign and this is a very winnable race onto the bigger track from a perfect draw. RAIKOKE (3) bounced back to form with a dominant victory here last time out in BM78 grade, sent to the front and never looking like losing. Imagine similar tactics will be attempted here from the inside gate and he can give a sight. NOSTRINGSATTACHED (8) resumes. He's a talented horse who just lost his way at the end of last campaign having won the Future Stars Final earlier. He can run well. SASSY BOOM (6) is knocking on the door and will give a sight on speed. JUSTADEEL (7) is progressing well and can measure right up off a strong win last time.
SELECTIONS: King Zephyr to win.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 3 @ 2.09 PM

Tough race to be confident in with so many debutants. Happy to side with the race experience of SKADOOSH (13), who has been solid in all three career runs to date. Not sure about the drop back to 1000m for her but she should get the right run from a middle draw. With even luck, she can fight out the finish. GOLDEN TUNES (1) is another with raceday experience and he's shown glimpses of nice ability. He's also got gate speed and, from an inside draw, can make his own luck on pace. He will give a sight and might be hard to catch. Worth considering first starters BOLD STARLET (6) and GIN EXPLOSION (10) for wider plays in what looks a deep race with plenty of chances.
SELECTIONS: Backing Skadoosh each-way.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 3 @ 4:55 PM

SPLIT THE GEE (9) hasn't been far away in both runs this time in work, starting in stronger company this time in work. She drops back in grade today, but also drops in weight under the conditions of the race. She's a horse that looks above this grade and she can get back to winning ways now. BORDER CONTROL (1) was outclassed in a much stronger race here a fortnight ago, though he wasn't disgraced in that effort. He was scintillating on the dirt prior to that and looks better suited at this level. The 3kg claim of Cooper comes in handy and his positive racing pattern should see him right in the finish. GREAT EMOTION (7) resumed on a Heavy deck here 21 days ago but sharp improvement is expected getting back onto a Good track today. Blinkers go on as well and the form out of her last start has been great. Can bounce back. GOLD VANCOUVER (5) has to be included on his recent win. CHINO LA DIVA (3) bolted in last start and is not out of this.
SELECTIONS: Split The Gee goes on top.
