CANTERBURY: RACE 7 @ 5:55 PM
POWER OF THE BRAVE (1) has been widely travelled this prep. Failed at Moonee Valley two back then returned to form with a gutsy second over 1000m at Randwick where he led until the final bounds. Very fit and this is a step back in grade. May look to slot in behind a hot tempo this time and will be tough to resist in the closing stages. WALLENDA (4) returns after a 20-week absence. Form in Melbourne last prep was okay but he is more effective on right-handed tracks. Decent fresh performer who is right in this. COOL STORM (9) led and defied all challengers in a BM82 over this trip at Scone recently. Genuine mare who is a definite contender. BE QUIET (13) resumes. Scored with ease at Kembla to kick off last prep. Flying at the trials so keep her very safe first-up with the light weight. REMEMBER JACK (15) has had a seven-week let-up since a real eye-catcher first-up over 1200m at Newcastle. Might still be a run short but shouldn't be undersold.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Power Of The Brave.

CAULFIELD HEATH: RACE 5 @ 3:45 PM
Open race. HUSTLE IN HEELS (5) is a lightly raced mare who resumed for her second campaign, winning over the 955m at Cranbourne in good time. She did win her only start around here on debut and with the added fitness and natural improvement she should take plenty of beating again. SKIPJACK (2) resumes. He took on some handy races at the back end of last campaign and ran well. His 1000m record reads very well for this and he can have last crack. MISTY LEGEND (4) resumes for the new yard, formerly with the Hawkes in Sydney. He did win first up at Warwick Farm over this trip in a BM72. He's absolutely good enough to win this, watch the late betting. YOU'RE TWO VAIN (3) is an unbeaten gelding who resumed with a comfortable win in a Class 3 at Corowa. This is harder but his two wins last time in suggested he'd be measuring up to city grade. FULLY CALCULATED (7) can sneak into the minors.
SELECTIONS: Hustle In Heels to win.
DOOMBEN: RACE 4 @ 4:28 PM
TOMMY THUG (6) doesn't win out of turn but is a consistent conveyance hitting the top five in ten of his past 11 starts. Will be rock-hard fit for this and is drawn to get a cosy run in transit from gate two. Sure to be right there when the whips are cracking. LET'S DO IT AGAIN (4) goes well for hoop Franklin who has two wins from just three steers. Again gets the benefit of his 3kg claim and can make his presence felt. TENNESSEE WHISKEY (10) is usually thereabouts and looks one for the multiples at odds. SPILL THE SECRET (9) has placed two of three over this staying journey and may earn some minor money. AROUND THE BUOY (2) next best with the claim.
SELECTIONS: Backing Tommy Thug.
KILCOY: RACE 1 @ 2:19 PM
FAR CRY (3) improved sharply second-up, beaten a whisker over 1680m at Ipswich, letting down nicely from the pace. Jumps from the inside gate and will enjoy the drop in grade. The one to beat. WILDSPITZE (5) comes out of the same race and was beaten a mile well supported. He was vet cleared and had been in the money prior at Gold Coast. Will get every chance to turn things around. MISTER MIGHTY (1) was in the firing line on the turn over 1400m at Gatton, beaten 1.5L. He keeps improving, and we can anticipate another bold run. ZHONGXIN KOALA (6) was much better beaten 2.3L at Ipswich over 1350m. Has a low gate and key gear switch on a 6-day return. He can fill a slot.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Far Cry.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 5 @ 3:37 PM
SHE'S CAPITANA (6) won well two back before a fair effort over this trip at Ascot last time out. She'll be better for that run and Pike remaining in the saddle is a positive sign. Can lob in a handy position and bounce back to winning ways. KING'S DRAMA (1) is racing in good order this campaign, knocking over the maiden second-up before some strong efforts through his recent runs. ZJP's claim comes in handy and the inside barrier can see him settle a touch closer. Racing well and can put his best foot forward. ANABALLISTIC (3) was a first-up winner last campaign and looks ready to run a bold race judging by his recent trial Belmont. The inside draw should see her close to the speed and the claim of Tsang comes in handy. Can resume on a positive note. SOUND OF SPEED (5) bolted in before a spell and he hasn't lost a yard judging by his recent trial. Keeping him very safe.
SELECTIONS: Siding with She's Capitana.
MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 7 @ 4:40 PM
Great betting race to end the day. DUNREAL (3) is a progressive galloper that did more than enough when resuming over 1100m. The step to 1400m looks perfect for his second-up assignment. Pannell goes on and he maps well from the draw. He will be hard to beat. TOTTORI (6) has had three runs back from a long break and might be ready to improve up to 1400m. Suspect he's better than what he's shown so far this spring and want to be with him when he does break through. FULL OF COURAGE (4) was just getting warm at the end of 1200m in a stronger race first-up. He'll strip fitter for this and appreciate the extra furlong. Watch for him finishing over the top of them late. VEXATIOUS CHOICE (8) looks capable of handling the rise in grade and will be going into quaddies and wider plays.
SELECTIONS: Backing Dunreal.
