He now comes back to a benchmark 74 and even with the weight increase, the adjusted ratings have him comfortably on top in a field where I think all of these have hit their mark.

Barrier 12 looks ideal for Tom Prebble who has plenty of options, and I liked that he was able to sit on speed last start as well.

Had him marked 2/1 and he looks a nice way to start the day.

I had inititally marked Too Darn Discreet as the each-way play however a weight allotment issue means she's not carrying the attractive 54.5kg as originally thought. While only 2.5kg more, these factors affect ratings and pricing, and I'd now prefer to wait and see what the market does.

One at huge odds that can run well is Brayden Star in Race 6. No doubt 1400m will be short of his best but he's run very competitive ratings over a mile and his latest jump out win looked very sharp. Tipping he'll start north of 50-1 and I think he can certainly outperform that quote.
