RACE 1 -  TAB QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap - 1680m

WILDSPITZE (4) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome two back but go on the solid placing at the Gold Coast last time out. Gets 1.5kg weight relief with the claim and this is not an overly strong affair. The one to beat. WHATA SORT (6) is ready to peak now fourth-up from the break and gets the services of Thornton in the irons. Can improve sharply. QUARTZOPOLIS (1) hit the frame at Warwick on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. In the mix. FAR CRY (7) will be better for that first-up hit-out and may earn some minor money. PARADISE AS USUAL (8) next in line from the inside alley.

SUGGESTED PLAY: Wildspitze to shed the maiden tag.

RACE 2 - BARRIER REEF POOLS Class 4 Handicap - 1680m

GREAT ASPIRATIONS (1) has been plying his trade in town and will find this assignment much more to his liking. Has two wins and a second from four spins around this circuit and should be right there when the whips are cracking. SWEET PROPOSAL (3) got a well-deserved victory last time out and winning rider Van Der Hoven sticks in the stirrups. Can go back-to-back without surprising. POWERFUL EAGLE (2) has placed around this circuit and gets 2kg off with the claim. In the mix. PRETTY RHO (4) is better than recent efforts suggest and is drawn to get a soft run in transit from the inside marble. One for the exotics players. LISSARO (5) strips fitter third-up from the break and makes some appeal.

SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Quinella 1,3,2

RACE 3 - SEVEN BENCHMARK 65 Handicap - 800m

I'M LUCKY TWO (4) put back-to-back wins together before being tipped out for further time to furnish. Gets 2kg off with the claim and maps ideally from gate two. Plenty to like about his prospects. KWAMI (1) has placed two from two around this circuit and will strip fitter second-up from the break. Looms as the main danger. SPARTUS (3) boasts a win over this course and distance and gets the deadly Gollan/Jones combination. Watch for sharp improvement on that first-up effort. The consistent PLATINUM LIES (2) has hit the top-four at her past ten outings and doesn't know how to run a bad race. A must for the multiples. EMBOLDEN (6) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept.

SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 4,1,3,2.

RACE 4 - GORDON'S GIN Class 2 Handicap - 1200m

The penny has dropped for BRUCKHEIMER (2) who has strung back-to-back wins together and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. Winning rider Youngberry sticks and again gets the benefit of her 3kg claim. Rates the testing material. NO NAME FRANK (1) has gotten better with each run this time in and looks to be working up to another victory. Include in calculations. RED FEATHER BOA (6) was a dominant Kilcoy winner at the latest effort and only needs some luck from the wide draw to be playing a major role in the finish. I'M ZAC (3) has placed over this course and distance and will find this easier than the recent Saturday metro outing. In the mix. GONE TO CAPE YORK (4) is a former NSW galloper who should be kept safe.

SUGGESTED PLAY: Bruckheimer to bring up the hat-trick.

RACE 5 - TEMPUS TWO Fillies and Mares RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap - 1350m

TECHNA (1) has been in the betting at the past couple of efforts and where there's smoke there's fire. Has placed over this track and trip and a much better showing would not surprise. The well-related WEXFORD MISS (2) (full to G2 winner Waterford) saves her best form for this distance range and has placed two from three when second-up. Cannot be taken lightly. TSUKINO (8) has a win and three seconds from five attempts at this trip and strips fitter second-up from the spell. Top-three credentials. TRUCK STOP HONEY (10) has won over this journey, draws the inside alley and gets some weight off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes for a race like this. FUNKY ME (4) best of the rest in a race with only a handful of chances.

SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 1,2,8,10.

RACE 6 - GREAT NORTHERN Maiden Plate - 1350m

SUBTERRAIN (5) was well found when facing the starter for the first time but just ran into a couple better in a harder contest in town. Will have taken a lot from that day at the races and can improve enough to take this out. MEADOWBROOK (9) has hit the frame in both career outings to date and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Has pletny of upside and expected to go well. NIGHTLINE (15) went down by a narrow margin on debut and only needs some luck from the wide draw to feature in the outcome. MAJESTIC LOUVRE (4) put in a career-best performance last time out and may have turned the corner now. In the mix on that sort of form. CLIVE'S GLORY (13) is at the races for the first time but has shown some ability at the trials and any market support must be noted.

SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 5,9,15,4.

RACE 7 - MAGIC MILLIONS Colts, Geldings and Entires RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap - 1350m

Open race to close out the card. CLUBHOUSE (3) goes well for hoop Mallyon who has a win and three placings from seven steers and has been thereabouts in recent efforts. Well placed in this assignment. FUTURE SOLDIER (1) has been racing well at Toowoomba and winning rider Wilson-Taylor reunites. Top-three aspirations. KRUMAC (13) was a dominant Taroom winner two back before hitting the frame at Wawrick last time out. In the mix. QUEST OF QUESTS (2) strips fitter second-up from the break and may earn some minor money.

SUGGESTED PLAY: Clubhouse the win.
