Narromine racecourse, located 50km from Dubbo in western NSW, is the home of the Narromine Jockey Club. Narromine Jockey Club conducts five race meeting per year with the biggest meeting being the Narromine Gold Cup in August. Narromine racecourse is a large square shaped course with four straight runs and tight right handed turns.
The Narromine course proper is 1667 metres in circumference with a home straight of 313 metres. There are starting chutes for races over 800 metres, 1300 metres and 1600 metres. Narromine is an agricultural town but is rich in aviation history, claiming the country's oldest regional aero club and an historic aviation museum.
