Originally from Bombala, Barbara Joseph began training in 1975 before moving her operation to Canberra in 1994.
Barbara Joseph became the first female trainer to win the Group 1 Doncaster Handicap with Merimbula Bay in 1989 whilst still training out of Bombala.
Over the years, Joseph has had many of top quality performers which include, Ain’t Seen Nothin’, Belong To Many and Mukareena.
In 2010 when Racing NSW gave the green light for training partnerships, Joseph teamed up with her eldest son Paul Jones to become Joseph & Jones Racing.
The first major winner for the partnership came in 2012 when Fill The Page won the Canberra Cup.
The stable opened up a Satellite stable at the Sapphire Coast in 2017 and continue to train plenty of winners around South East NSW and Canberra.
